I agree it's gone on long enough and needs to be sorted out

Personally I can't understand why lots of things haven't gone back to normal, not just medical, it's as if nobody is working like they used to.
I think it's partly down to covid being the excuse for shoddy services for so long it's now become the norm.

I had a bit of furlough when it started so can't complain, but I think there is also an element of not wanting to get back into the groove after some people were on it for a fair few months.

Thank you Lem. It is a pity it happened later in life, old bones with Osteoporosis and all that, but I am making lots of lemonade!

            Cop 26.
Just heard they have made some headway and for the first time fossil fuel has been mentioned.

Are they seriously saying that in the 25 previous meetings they have not made a reference to fossil fuel

Coypu, I think; they were introduced into the UK and farmed for their fur (nutria). Originally from South America. They became a major pest in the fens after the second world war; eating potatoes and sugar beet and digging holes in the sea banks and dykes weakening the flood defences. There was a determined effort to eradicate them and the coypu was considered to be eradicated in 1989.
Apparently they are edible and are reared for meat in Uzbekistan, taste between pork and turkey.

Yes, coypu (or ragondin in French). The adults grow to a metre long and weigh up to 10kgs.
It's a standing joke amongst my neighbours that I should be making pâté from my catches. Can't somehow fancy using meat that's been swimming around in green water

When Mrs S. lived in India the Bandicoots (big rats) sometimes attacked children in the street :hate-shocked:

When we first moved in here, 50 years ago, there was an 18" rat in our loft. The rat man said it was the biggest he had ever caught!

We have a lot of voles in the garden and they're cute and friendly and they sit on my hand quite happily. :)
