Oh Woo so sorry to hear about your very sad encounter with some rats. Such horrid creatures, can't work out their purpose in life..They seem to just run amok killing, contaminating and spreading terrible diseases all around the world.

Well I was born late October so your theory works for me! Getting out today has been a good tonic after a fair night of it last night with colleagues - bit of a christmas bash.

Heartening to see the vaccine centre absolutely rammed today. We’ve got 73% who’ve had two doses on the island which is seriously helping our ICU to stay functional. We’ve got 1200+ active cases (population 110k) but only 3 in ICU. That’ll do…

headed up to the garden centre to
Get some bulbs and 3 new pots for the missus for birthday (2nd Jan - terrible date!).
Cannot believe the prices of the pots! What has happened! 20 litre standard terracotta jobs at £120 each! I don’t think so! Did I miss something in the world of garden pot trading??? Has some horticultural baron cornered the market or something?

Summer baby here and love most types of weather, a tad cautious when very windy as we are surrounded by trees. Definitely not a beach person.

Exactly! I had a proper how-very-dare-you moment at the GC. I’ll hope there’s a sale after Christmas

I got a nice 50c18x17cm terracotta trough last week for 9 Euros and two 14cm terracotta pots for 90cents each and it doesn't go up drastically by size.

I planted the half price Wilko tulips bought yesterday in a container. I wish I'd bought more but I'm sure they'll have all been snapped up by now.
My marijuana fibre pots (donated and empty!!) had been left out in the garden so I hung them up in the shed to dry out.
I brought in the dried lavender bunches from the shed to make a few lavender bags to keep the moths away from my sweaters.
Swept up the leaves from the paths. Not many left now.
It's cold but doesn't this weather make you feel alive?:rain:

Agree @alana ..but sadly my toes and fingers feel 'dead' cold outside!!:roflol:. I can't work in gloves really as I find them very cumbersome.

Sadly it's too cold for me to work in the garden, a bitter wind blowing off the Sea.
I'm quite slim so don't have much fat to keep me warm.

***Please I'm not suggesting that anyone who is working in the garden today are fat:hapfeet:

I sympathise completely , went out earlier to pick up a huge pile of leaves that had conveniently blown into a tidy pile , my nose fell off and the wind went straight through me
I too tend to bend in high winds .
