          Aloha everyone,

We got some work done outside but the areas where the sun was were also the areas where the wind was getting to. So we worked in the shade until our fingers got too cold - even with gloves on.

We'll see how we go today.

          Have a good day

          Aloha!

              Good evening everyone

That's a lovely summer photo @Upsydaisy I hope the weather stayed mild for you today

A bit disappointing for me, the window and door for my new little extension were supposed to be installed today but there's a delay and now it won't be until 13th December. Never mind, it's less than a fortnight so not too bad,
and moaning about it won't make them come any faster :heehee:

                Good evening Michael :)

Thank you, yes it was such a dreary looking morning when I posted that I felt it would be good to remind ourselves of what we can look forward to and our reward for all our planning and hard work.

The only good thing about today's weather was it's mildness, but oh so dark!!

Couldn't post a drab ,miserable and dreary pic really could I . To be honest I couldn't find one dreary enough!!;)

That's a real shame about the delay in the door and window installation, was the delay in receiving them or maybe lack of manpower?

Apparently it was because I wanted rosewood on the outside and white on the inside -
too fussy :heehee: ... the 'all white' ones had been delivered.
I always feel white on the outside looks cold and plasticky and goes green quickly, and brown inside would make the place dark.

Yes I can see what you mean Michael, we have natural coloured wooden doors but with a fair amount of glass in them so no problem with the issue of darkness.
I bet you can't wait to get it all finish with now get back to 'normal ' life.l

Thank you @Upsydaisy, There's a bit of work to do inside, like connecting the electricity etc but yes it will be nice to have it done and out of the way.

I like to have doors with lots of glass in them. Your house must be lovely and light .

Good morning everyone.....it's creeping up on us!!

Still a tad too dark out there to determine what our forecast is really up to but it's still mild.....that's the most important bit!

Keep safe and have a good day.:xmasbells:

Morning Michael. It sounds like you're well and truly on the home run .You won't know yourself when you wake up to a builder free day!

Sadly our house isn't as light as we would wish but we've tried to make the best of what we have. Too many trees with TPOs around us and position of the house don't help at all.

Trees are all right as long as they are not too close to the house. I moved because of tall trees casting a deep shade over the house and garden, and every sunny summer day felt cold and dismal.

Good afternoon everyone ... keep warm ! :coffee:
