The Afghan sofa throw has stunning colours and pattern, it would really set a room off. Looks mind boggling difficult to make, but you have the skill :dbgrtmb:

Thank you Harry. I love these colour changing yarns. I make patterns up as I go along! :rolleyespink: Afghans get a bit bulky and heavy on your lap when working on them and I have made American King Size down to the floor (about 10ft/12ft) bedspreads. Working on a scarf now!

I bet ! You've addressed my thoughts in your above post as I was wondering about the weight of it , must be quite a challenge to handle and work on at the same time!

Just finished the scarf ... which turned out to be a shawl :heehee: ... the yarn is an acrylic/mohair mix. is very soft and machine washable ... Shawl1.jpg
I will start on another afghan now, have these two Spring colours ...

Thanks Upsy, I started an afghan with the yellow which is actually much lighter than the colour shown.

Finished the afghan. It is a light yellow but again the colour has not come out correct. The lighting is poor in the lounge. Being an old cottage, we have small windows and is facing West.

That's beautiful Vicky, I love the contrasting flecks of colour in the yarn. :awesome:

I've yet to wage battle with a crochet hook...it's on my list of ' to do's'. :)

Thanks Upsy, we can make it a proper word. I tend to work on them for about an hour late morning then 2-3 hours in the afternoon in several sessions. I don't crochet after 5pm ... like I don't come on the computer after 6-7pm.

Just finished this Infinity Scarf in Ice Yarns "Rock Star". It is a strange yarn in Polyester and tubular like thread but easy to work with.

I have some Plum colour Acrylic I got from Denmark last week so I will probably start on an afghan tomorrow.
