Might have one in the conservatory for seed trays - they are about the right size.

 

Those are handy, I've got several in my potting shed.

My new succulent, Euphorbia mammillaris ...

 

Had a variegated one of these years ago , seem to remember it turned pink in the winter !
Lovely plants.

 

Very nice @Michael Hewett i love Euphorbia’s, so many different shapes and types, they seem to fit in well with my Cacti

On 21 November I ordered 6 cuttings of Solanum muricatum (Pepino Doce, Melon Pear, Sweet Cucumber) from Italy. They only arrived on Thursday (9 December) by Express Post but were not mush as expected as they were well packaged and had roots developing. I immediately put them in a jar of water and have some growth already. I was sent 10 cuttings.

 

Strange looking fruit @Victoria, have you tasted them before, I wonder what they are like ...

 

Yes, they are delicious Michael. They re rather a cross between cucumber and melon. My friend's father had a shrub here and they gave me fruit and also a small shrub but I sadly lost it some years ago when I couldn't look after things.

 

I think they could do well for you Victoria.
When I tried them they had the habit of not setting fruit until late in the season and then not ripening properly.
I would think your longer warm weather might make them an easier proposition.

 

They actually set fruit here late Pete. An Autumn/Winter fruit. I plan to be successful this time.
