Thank you @CanadianLori for a few years now we like the white lights with the clear decorations. Hubby had to quickly go out and get a replacement set of lights, the wire had broken off on the old set.

 

Always a dogs dinner of a tree but we love it

 

Bought a Poinsettia yesterday. Cringe.
Where will it end?

Reminds me of a conversation I had the other day with a friend. "Christmas tree, making decorations, horrors, next I'll be watching Hallmark Christmas romance fluff!".

 

Must go see how mine is colouring up.

 

Decided to use the small tree again this year, much prefer it now, as I use to find it all got a bit claustrophobic during the hols, especially when the brood arrived as well.



Some decorations may look 'naff' but hold a lot of memories of Christmas long gone when our sons were small ....pride and place always goes to the very battered and dodgy looking angel...

 

Aww @JWK ,they're priceless treasures aren't they!!! This one is well into her 30s...so not doing too badly!
She's fallen off her perch a fair few times ,but she's a survivor .

 

I've got some decorations from when I was little myself. I usually put them up, and an old faded mouse in a shoe which was Beryl's and she hated ... but I always put it up. If other people think they're naff I don't care, it isn't their business.

This year however they won't go up because I don't don't feel like looking for them amongst all the junk in the attic, so they can take a gap year
