    Hi,

A busy morning. Shopping done by 7:30 then after a mug of tea into the workshop to do more brazing; I'm helping a friend out by brazing 20 tungsten carbide tips onto tooling; I've just brazed the final 10 and once again enjoying a mug of tea; the tools will have cooled when I get back into the workshop then I can fettle them making them ready to pass on to my friend.

    Brazing job_0002.JPG
    Busy as usual. Brazing job_0003.JPG
Close up of how the TC tips are gently held in position by using a "third hand" these third hands are extremely useful; I made three of them. Brazing job_0004.JPG
Tools fully brazed awaiting fettling; my friend has tried many brands of tipped tools and even high speed steel but all have failed due to the work they are used on; I'm happy to help knowing how to do this type of work so he now buys high grade TC tips as raw blanks and these are up to the job; this is the second batch of 20; I did the first batch just before Covid. Not gardening by any stretch of the imagination but I enjoy many hobbies and this brazing is what I was trained to do way back before time began in 1963. I like to keep my hand in.

The taps been turned off it's not raining; WOW. :yahoo:

I'd better get off my behind and stop being lazy; plenty to do. I'm fully charged with de-caf tea.

    Kind regards, Colin.

Watching YouTube and crochet a blanket with odd balls of wool that I have lying around in the wardrobe.
If I've got enough I will give it to our son to put on his lap when working with streaming games and reviewing them.

That is looking good. I so dislike sewing ends in. I have been using a lot of 'self colouring' yarn. I will put the scarf up in my hobbies. I may finish it today, I keep picking it up and putting it down. :rolleyespink:

Thank you Victoria and yes sewing the ends in does take a bit of time. Some of the wool is self colouring it was given to me a few years ago buy a friend, his mother had passed away and left a load of wool. I didn't have it all I thought at the time I didn't know what to do with it.

                      Thanks.
I use to knit neonatal/ premature baby hats, but now they prefer material ones.

I only knit Nov,Dec and maybe Jan ( but then seed sowing time is then edging nearer :hapydancsmil:)
I also have the tree decs to do and I usually do a couple of pairs of slipper socks too to keep my feet toastie in the evening when I'm sitting, still have them to do . I only knit for an hour or two in the evening as I find it a strain on the eyes under lights.

As in putting up a Christmas tree, or as in painting walls ?? ... those smilies (although none of them are actually smiling) could be used for either
