Sat in the back garden - supping tea :coffee: and reading the December issues of 'Gardeners' World' magazine.

Surprisingly warm as the sun :hotsun:was out .

Friends of ours popped over for a couple of hours dressed liked they were in the Antarctic. They are British but say the have turned Portuguese. :heehee: We know all about that, they are newbies only here for seven years, they rented our townhouse for a year before they moved here, now dear friends. We always laugh so much.

Enjoyable walk this morning 3.5 miles .I left just after 9am and it was very cold and frosty, but the sun was shining brilliantly and the blue sky was once again completely cloudless.
Hubs said it was too cold and that he would go out for his walk after 10 ( whimp :heehee: ), so I went on my own !! :dbgrtmb:

Also walked over to see my sister late morning which was lovely as I hadn't seen her since the week before Christmas, although we speak regularly via phone or video calls.

After our dinner hubs and I busied ourselves with various individual jobs in the garden.

        A thoroughly lovely day.:)

Tomorrow going to have my other cataract done, so won't be on here much in the day tomorrow. It's at 10am which is a good time to get there and miss the morning rush hour. Haven't made up our minds whether to take the boys with us or not. They can be left but it's nice for them to have a car ride. I've been getting things done out the way, yesterday I coloured my hair because I won't be able to bend over the bath to do it and wash it. But my hair doesn't feel too bad for not washing it that long.

              And yes thank you @Upsydaisy

Don't want to worry you but be careful walking by yourself, if you suddenly collapse you won't have anyone with you.
              :)

Thanks but I won't collapse , well haven't done so yet !!!
I only walk in open spaces and have my phone + panic button device with me.

If I do walk alone my circular routes are well planned, I have my sister, brother and 2 sets of friends as well as our own home of course all dotted at intervals along the route. So absolutely no worries, the worse that can happen is that my knee gives way so I have plenty of places to hobble to should that ever happen. :dbgrtmb:

                        Good morning all
Yesterday went well with my cataract surgery, the same as the other one but it does feel blurred a bit but that should go. Definitely will need some more reading glasses but can manage with these for 4 weeks when I have the check up at the opticians.
Ps as with the other one I do get flickering with the lights on but that clears up after 4 weeks.

Pleased all went well. I thought this was so you don't need reading glasses. Did you wear glasses all the time and now you don't have to? I only wear glasses for reading/close work/computer but not for walking about.

Hoping for a quieter day today, hubs and I are going out for a walk soon:).

In the end yesterday we fitted in our walk at 3:30...it was so busy:yikes: ...so very different from early mornings ones!! Not nice.

Hubs was given an emergency app with our Dr yesterday, so that was the morning taken care of.

My brother ran out of supplies for his Budgie ...so not being able to drive anymore and after threatening to try and walk to the pet shop on Sunday ( which we all know is impossible),he decided to ask us to get the items.
I stocked him up, only to find that my sister got my niece to do the same too!!
Roll on for when he moves as he will not only have carers but also a weekly P A to oversee such things like shopping lists/ online shopping ,mail and most importantly appointment reminders and transport. He'll probably moan that he doesn't require this ...but we, his 3 overworked sisters, know better!;)

Our eldest phoned saying he was feeling pretty ropey and has tested positive for Covid again......he had it 6 weeks ago too!! Hard to believe as he's had his jabs and should have some extra antibodies in his system from December still !!

So today is....nothing day :fingers crossed: apart from a nice walk , very frosty still but sunny and some laundry duties.

Tomorrow hubs has to go for some blood tests and on Thursday I have a 9am app ( :fingers crossed:) to see the Orthopaedic Surgeon.......then we're back to Friday again!:yikes:

Just been talking with my eldest sister and she said exactly what we've been saying, where does the time go...it's flying scarily fast!!

Yes I had to wear glasses all the time since i was 15. So it will be nice not to wear them all the time.
