@Upsydaisy hope that everything goes well with your hubby and his blood tests. Also your Orthopaedic surgeon on Thursday. That's great about your brother getting help and his new place.Yes time does go fast.

Oh, and once your find your reading glass prescription, get a bunch of pairs of poundland ones for in the garden- they're cheap and you don't have to worry about losing them. You'd be amazed at how long it takes to get used to not having glasses or contacts for distance- you feel everything such as flying dust, etc.

 

@Upsydaisy forgot to say that it's a shame about your son being tested positive again and hope that he feels better soon. It just goes to show that the antibodies don't stay in the system for long and the vaccines does help a bit.

 

Thank you and yes it does take a lot of time to get used to it. When I go out the door I think that I should be wearing them. When I had the right one done I could see the colour black a lot better and road signs clearer.
Hubby is starting to get them now but it doesn't affect him at the moment, mine took 4 years to get to this stage.
I was thinking of getting some glasses for gardening just to protect my eyes, I've had a few times when something has gone in them. One was a particle of dust and the other was being pocked by an old raspberry cane.

 

Yes, precisely @Logan. I also got the "full sized" cheapie readers for my workroom. If a needle breaks and flies up, it won't get in my eye, the glasses will stop it.

To me, the most amazing thing was being able to read the bedside clock without picking it up and bringing it near the end of my nose!

Oh, and on the computer - make a point of blinking a fair amount to keep your eyes from drying out.

Well, today I've only got a bit of snow tidying to do out front and then I can play. I do plan on going out to the shops and I keep eyeing the recipe for custard slices that was shared here.

Having lots of snow can be an advantage. If I dig a path to the bird feeder, it will justify an extra slice of something sweet

 

@CanadianLori yes you disserve something nice after doing that snow and yes I will get some glasses for gardening thanks.

 

Attending an online conference with St Gallen Uni in Switzerland on non-linear carear paths. ie taking a break and then coming back to work - maybe to do something completely different. Very interesting - though being on a screen all day is pretty painful. Shame because the sun is shining outside and I could be out in the garden...

 

I have just watched The Secret Life of Cows. a German Documentary in two parts, Wild at Heart and Samura's World. I really enjoyed it. Thought of @Jiffy

 

Attended a Webinar about new shipping options for custom furniture then attended a zoom meeting after to discuss the same subject.

Now I'm going out to do some shopping and enjoy the glorious sunshine.

They were lovely cows ... and eager bulls. They are "free range" in Southern Germany, a herd of +/-300 and are like pets.

Not like the one's around here, they don't even breck out here the gate's are left open so they going for a walk about and visit the neighbour's garden for a busman's holiday looking at all them lovely flower to eat which they couldn't before as they were the other side of the fence, then they think that there should be another hole in this hedge and push themself's through the nearist to fuss they get is a jab up the backside when it's TB testing day
it's common here for bull-ock's and sheep's to be out on the road, why, because fence's are bad and humans don't shut the gate's properly then you have the baler twine gate's, baler twine V's bull-ocks bull-ock win every time

 

@Jiffy You should watch it if you can. I saw it on Odessia so I don't know who might have it there. These cows wash each other like cats! A synopsis ...
