Joe will forget all about it by the time he gets to the next room - he will likely tell his secretary that he has put his troops on a liferaft.
Times like this we could do with Trump. I find it strange that when Trump was president every day a new story about what he said or did was on our news programmes, since Biden has taken over , nuffin, not a dicky bird, it as if the US has pretty much ceased to exist, from this side of the Atlantic, apart from the odd shooting which would have been Trump's fault back then. Regarding Ukraine I hope this lot doesn't push gas prices even higher than they are now.
I said at the time of the elections that if Trump and Biden were the 'best' that the US had, we were all in trouble, but now we are a year on and it is clear Biden is bloody dangerous. Trump at least managed to keep the peace, didn't start any wars and even had Kim Jong Un back in his box. Biden botched Afghanistan and now is on his way to fumbling the ball that could lead to WW3. Just as concerning is that our 'best' is Boris Johnson and Kier Starmer...... I think I need a lie down.
Trump is a crook and he ought to be serving time. Biden should retire but he's far more genuine than Donald. Boris is good fun. Starmer isn't bad, but he's got so much dead wood in his party weighing him down. Sturgeon has a mind like a haggis. Drakeford is like an old VW beetle.. You can't kill it. We'll never agree on politics!
They are one of the bigish exporter of wheat, their wheat may even be in the loaf of bread your eating now
Guess so Jiffers, but when it's all burnt down to the ground due to conflict I'll have to hope my shredded wheat source can be supplied by the USA. Also if Putin does invade I'm sure he'll be happy to let the export market continue.
I don't think we are wading in, but we are hoping to make Russia think we are. They are talking of sanctions ,you don't wade in and apply sanctions at the same time.
Alot of china's people are looking for land to farm so it may be a good time to start looking, I think some of china's people went into russia and got lots of land from the goverment but as i say i'm not sure
I hope the sanctions and bluff work out but a little niggle tells me that Putin won't like the world watching him withdraw all them tanks and stuff from the Ukraine border.
We couldn't wade in even if we wanted to as our military has been stripped beyond the bone for far too long. Besides, the way this country is nowadays, people would be protesting that it is racist/mysoginistic/insert 'ist' here and then go back to worrying about cheese and wine
Possibly, but I don't think that he would invade from that standpoint; the element of surprise has gone and the world is definitely watching. If I was going to invade a country, I wouldn't park on their border mob-handed for weeks and give them a heads up of what was coming
Putin is testing the water, as they say. Haven't we been running RN ships into the Black Sea for some time now as to show some presence in the area and seeing if it gets a response.
