My attitude is if they ask me to wear a mask I will, but if not then I wont.
Just a sign left hanging up doesn't do it for me as they can well have been left up from before the restrictions were changed.
    The exception is medical premises.

Noticed they was dumping 1 million doses of vaccine in Nigeria.
It had all gone out of date.
What's the point of sending it there if they cant use it up in time.

Also a programme on tomorrow night regarding how the Astra/Zenica vaccine was slagged off by certain countries and how much politics were involved in that decision. An estimate on how many lives were probably lost due to to that decision and the knock on effect it had around the world.

Which station is that than pete? I'd be interested in seeing that.

IMHO the EU have a lot to answer for - their decisions around Covid looked largely to be based upon trying to punish us for Brexit. France didn't get their act together - they didn't even develop a local brew vaccine. I haven't seen any negative impact from Brexit - despite all the doom mongering.

I will continue to wear a Mask and Sanitise my hands, until I feel there is no need, my opinion of course.

I've heard that Nigerians have a high level of natural immunity - so they have already 'paid the price' to get that immunity. Vaccines at this late stage seem a bit superfluous - it's too late.

Interesting link in that article - Macaroon - what have you got to say about this?

Decisive use of AstraZeneca vaccine may have spared UK from omicron crisis hitting Europe. Britain’s relatively low Covid death toll compared to the continent may be result of earlier use of Oxford jab to vaccinate most vulnerable.

Mark is looking at revising the covid rules in Wales. At the moment there are 13 people in intensive care 'with' covid. How can he justify continued use of masks and self isolation?

I didn't know you were still supposed to be using masks in Wales.

I still wear a mask when going in shops. I don't find it an imposition and have no problem with it. When I went to Sainsbury's the other day, around lunchtime, it was busy and all the staff and customers were wearing masks.

I've never liked people around me coughing and spluttering anyway!

The shops in our village all have signs up saying to still wear masks despite the relaxing of the rules.

                      Food for thought:

More than a quarter of the 10 billion doses of Covid jabs administered globally have been AstraZeneca, a vaccine created by a small team at a British university and sold at cost. Other Covid vaccines, by contrast, have created nine billionaires.

Gee, I guess we now have rule #2 over here. Gals don't have to shave their legs until the hockey playoffs are on (too cold for shorts before that) and you don't have to bleach your moustache (masks covers it) until Covid is over! :heehee:

                          That is indeed the worry.

I'm happy that there are consequences for refusing COVID treatment (mostly for anti-science, conspirary reasons) - after all our hospitals are full of the unvaccinated and the consequences are very serious for the rest of us. Deadly in fact. Right now the consequences are being taken by people who have responsibly acted to protect themselves and their neighbours from COVID which just seems unjust.

People are dying of cancer, bronchitis etc because the hospitals are full of unvaccinated people. There are two possible solutions to this: one, we lower the priority of treatment for those who have chosen to believe conspiracies. Or we restore funding to the NHS and create capacity.

Personally I'd go for the second.

But I still see absolutely zero difference between those who choose to believe lies about vaccines and Covid - and endanger their neighbours thereby, and those who choose to drink and drive say.
