Assembled these. The obelisks were from Wilkinsons and the baskets cable tied into each hoop are hanging baskets. I've had these before - the hollow legs that go into the ground rot quickly - so this time I've bunged the ends up with sealant and will be painting them with bitumen paint before they get into the soil.

I went with T'other Half over toward the West Coast and he bought five near new/new electric guitars from an estate sale, Burns, Gretch and Guild.

I am unpicking a lot of crochet I did the last couple of days as I made a boo-boo way down and the yarn is not pulling out smoothly as it is "hairy" ... grrr! :wallbanging:

Today was the day that I had prepared for deep cleaning my bedroom. Not just emergency or top up tidying, but floor to ceiling. Donning Marigolds, armed with enough chemicals and dusters to make Tshernobyl habitable, hair tied back, I started.

        I did, the hoover didn't.

Spent half an hour taking the thing apart and spreading clogged contents across the floor, gave up, ordered a new one from Amazon and poured a large glass of wine.

Tomorrow is the day when I will clean my bedroom from floor to ceiling.

Bit of this, a bit of that. Watched an episode of Vera (we are into that and Castle at the moment). Won at Skip Bo again (7 out of the last 8 games) Did my steps. Ordered batteries from eBay.. Having taco meatloaf for dinner. Watching the sun go down. A very lazy Saturday.

Forgot to add, I also suffered a crushing defeat to The Teenager in Trivial Pursuit 1999 edition. We have home rules involving a secondary pie piece that is granted with extra wedges for whoever knows the answer if the one in turn doesn't, and even a hang- around club of wedges when the answer is nearly there.

Yet, the Viper On My Bosom, born 2001, won. [IMG]

I am getting withdrawal symptoms since I gave most of mine away.

Despite deciding we were not going to get another cat we are looking at taking Cheeky into our home. My daughter got the nod from a local cattery so after phoning the lady involved we did some sorting out here at home and tomorrow we are off to meet our possible new roommate.

I've just baked some hesrt shaped sugar cookies. Granddaughter is coming up here. Originally I was going to pay her to help me with a few things but I need valentine themed stuff to make up the little gift boxes for the neighbourhood kids to find on their doorsteps. So granddaughter will go with me and I'll just hand her a lttle money to spend.

Got my baguettes baked so later it will be bruschetta :)

Despite saying we were not going to get a second cat after the problems with the last one we went to see, a txt from my daughter said a local cattery had a cat that needed rescuing. After a phone call yesterday off we went today for a drive of an hour each way, on flooded roads, and we came home with Cheeky (not our choice of name).
Now, all we have to do is get her and Lily on first-name terms and we are quids in.

Oh that is a lovely cat @Jocko . I really miss having pets but after years of breathing issues, I discovered it was due to allergic reactions to pet hair/dander.

I still love them though and grow catnip for friends to treat their furry friends and will pet one when near but am careful to keep it to a few seconds. Even that can trigger the "hairy throat" reaction. Too funny when you think of it as all those years ago I had total sympathy for cats trying to hork up fur balls because I felt that way too!:roflol:

The sun is finally trying to muscle through the clouds and that is good because I want to test the solar power I am currently getting from the panels. I like to keep a close eye on that. :blue thumb:

We don't if she is a he. Think it may well be a he as it is stronger than Lily and quite agile. The vet will confirm either way.
