Where best to get dahlia seeds from? I have looked at the usual suspects (Premier Seeds, Moles, DT Brown) but there seems to be a bit of a lack of seeds or lack of choice this year

I am considering growing some ball and poms pom types myself this year from seed. Apparently they last longer as cut flowers than other types of dahlias. So will be interested in what others suggest.

It is very strange - I am only really finding Pompone, Bishops Children, Cactus and Dwarf Hybrids - - normally there are tons of varieties. I suppose ultimately it won't really matter too much this year as all I am looking to do is plant through fabric and have a splash of colour with only the veggie patch at the back being edibles (and maybe the odd tub)

Whist asking - how hard are Delphiniums from seed?

I would say Delphiniums are fairly easy, I have grown a mixed selection. They will take 2 years to flower though, but they keep coming up each year and are pretty much trouble free.
