So I have this tall pot in the garden and need some ideas as to what I should plant in it? I know it needs a good clean so please ignore the dirt :) Screenshot_20220213-163523_WhatsApp.jpg

    Thanks in advance

Wow, that is a really nice pot!

You might want to fill the bottom partway with gravel so you can use less soil for planting in it. That would be really nice for either something that cascades down the edges, like lobelia with something tall in the middle. Maybe one of those spikey plants. Or maybe a nice bright canna lily?

Lots and lots you can do with a great pot like that :dbgrtmb:

Perhaps a nice Tree Lily if it is as tall as it looks.

I'm about to put a Clematis Sieboldii into a pot like that with a chicken wire frame to wind it around. I got the idea from an aunt who's done it, in Leicestershire. Looks like a passiflora - but isn't. If I could get to half of that I'd be delighted. Front Summer pots - Copy.jpg

It really is. I went out and bought one after I'd seen that picture... I am not good with clematis though: but they are lovely so not giving up.

With that style of pot, if you plant it with anything that is going to be tall, it will be prone to getting blown over. Just something to bear in mind when you choose what to plant it with if you are exposed to winds
