A joke or two.... 2022

I had an aunt I lived with who could have written that. In 1959 we moved house and she didn't tell her son who was coming home from the Air Force ... after much ado he found us. When her son had a heart attack at age 35 she replied to her daughter-in-law "Are we still having our hair done?" Another time my cousin sat in a phone booth on the A? because my Aunt didn't ask where exactly he was so my Uncle and I drove up the A? looking in every booth till we found him in another county! She lived to be 90-odd and bless her, she had a heart of gold. She loved coming to Portugal. RIP Auntie. xx

 

I think the letter gks posted could have been an old Jimmy Cricket, letter from home joke. A funny comedian in his time. If anyone can recall him.

 

They had one of these in the waiting room at the Chiropractors I used to use.

I sat there on a few occasions, waiting.

One day when I was called in to the treatment room, I couldn't help myself.
It just came out, I said, I think he was before me, pointing to the bundle of bones.

Needless to say, I think they might have heard that one before.
