It's pretty hit and miss for me, on the right piece of furniture it can be glorious! But I sometimes see it done on some furniture that would be so much better without it and am horrified! :yikes:

Oh I totally agree, it has to be done on the right pieces, doesn't work with everything

More Hellebours, trying to log the colours, but proving too difficult to take decent pics as we are experiencing very strong winds at the moment. Had to result to the dreaded hand in pic shots!!!

Pot of miniature daffodils in flower. I took a photograph of them before tomorrow's storm. And the violas are starting to look better, and as I was moving pots to protect them from the predicted wind I noticed that another pot of viola is in bud, white ones with a dab of purple I think.

Difficult to know what to do for the best to protect everything from the predicted winds tomorrow, I brought a lot of things indoors.

I will bring that pot of miniature daffodils indoors later today too, thinking about it. The pot will probably be ok as the garden is sheltered by tall buildings, but the flowers could easily be finished off by the wind.
