Thank you @Upsydaisy it would have been a good day for gardening but had to wait for the eye drops to wear off then it was too late, maybe tomorrow.

I am so glad to hear your eyes are good @Logan !

Other than a little work (the sewing part of making a roman shade with a beautiful linen) I've barbecued some things and in between been running up and down the stairs checking the night time battery output from my solar power set up. And happily changing the timers "on" schedules because it is staying lighter much later in the day.

I also went round to a supplier this morning and took my mustang for a gallop. I have to watch myself because it is so easy to exceed the speed limit. Lovely :)

You were lucky with your weather then, we've had horrendous winds all day...still raging out there now.

Today we took Cheeky to the vet. He was confirmed as a boy so he came home as Toby (Cheeky is a budgies name). He had a general check-over, claws clipped, vaccinated, wormed and flea treatment. He is now a bonafide member of the family.

Well, it's looking like my 'diet' will be turning into 'routine' from now on.

The weight came off quickly to start with - but weight loss has now slowed down. The tricky bit will be getting to the point where Mrs. C is happy and then not losing any more weight. Once at this point - we'll introduce a cheat day and then see if this enough to stabilise my weight.

It seems that eating a bowl of porridge for breakfast is the key - I feel full for longer - and don't want to eat.

There is the added bonus that the old bedtime indigestion has disappeared as well :dbgrtmb:.

I used to hate porridge but by throwing on a couple of blobs of different flavoured jams - it can be quite palatable.

Thinking about getting shot of the jam and using flavoured milk instead :dbgrtmb:. The no sugar pop has got to go - it's carbonated - so is acidic. Might replace with said flavoured milk.

I add a sweetener to all my cereals as I hate milky things but didn't want to disguise them with jams or syrups. I also add chopped fresh fruit too..:dbgrtmb:

                          Fresh fruit - sounds nice.

I wasn't going to check calories - but I just wanted to see the difference between a flavoured milk (in this case banana) and my usual semi-skimmed.

Per 100ml there is +8 kcals for the flavoured - so nothing - switching to flavoured milk with no jam/honey/lemon curd will reduce the calorie load for brekkie .
