I pruned my roses, cotoneaster, shrubby lonicera and cut back the bronze fennel. I also did some weeding around the gooseberries.

Sowed some Rudbeckia Marmalade in the heated propagator.

I pruned some more Clematises (I didn't know I had so many !) and pruned a rose or two and weeded my raised bed, where I discovered a nice row of parsnips. They were not very big but were a nice size for me :dbgrtmb:
Then I gave Bella some food on the patio and I sat in the sun for a bit

Prepared veg beds for planting, dug up the few remaining leeks, lifted some parsnips and picked some purple sprouting broccoli.

Took my hibiscus outside and sprayed the heck out of it with spinosad. When I brought it up from the cellar, I discovered it had many dependents  Anyway, sprayed and sprayed and then brought it back in before it or I froze!

Cut the grass today and chopped back some unruly Alyssum 'carpet of snow' that's also self seeded all over the driveway. Swept the back patio and did a general tidy and snoop around to see what's been going on over winter.

I didn't really fancy doing anything today no motivation for some reason , but seen as its been the best day of the year so far I had a wonder around the garden looking for something to do. I haven't pruned any roses yet I were going to wait till next weekend but I've attacked two this afternoon . Got the hedge trimmer out and cut back the ivy back hard back to the fence. It still to wet to be do to much in the garden. I've been tending to the seedling also may sow another batch tomorrow . :)

Yesterday and today......now given about one-third of...green area...(can't bring myself to call it grass) its first cut of the year. The brown bin is totally full, one garden waste bag under balcony waiting. I don't live on a farm but would consider borrowing a goat.

We put up half a dozen brackets for hanging baskets. My wife sowed a handful of Nasturiun seeds a friend had given her, along with some Foxglove seed pods.

Ha ha, not ornate exactly, a pipe with a dog bowl was the casting preforma!

Maybe tomorrow (is that a Sterophonics track? Maybe..) I’ll (I mean “him” will decast it from the bin lid. Could go either way, a lovely bath or a pile of rubble!
