Tidied up the plants in pots in The Courtyard pulling out the Creeping Wood Sorrell (Oxalis corniculata) which seeds itself everywhere. We are also plagued with Oxalis pes-caprae in the open ground. Trimmed the Vitex agnus castus which I have in a large square pot and a couple of the Pelargoniums. It was hot in the sun but clouding over now.

Some of my citrus plants have leaves/growth on them that look like that, its a deficiency as @Logan says.
Could be iron or it could be magnesium, I give mine an iron feed in the spring which often sorts it out but its not a fast process.

I've noticed this seems to happen mostly on late growth the plant was making at the end of the last season, I'm thinking that the roots stop taking up nutrients as the colder days come and the soft new growth suffers.

Well, in the potting shed I sowed some "Old Fashioned" sweet peas and "Bunyard's Exhibition" broad beans in root trainers.

I also sowed some Gazania "Sunshine" mixed seeds and potted up three "Pink Cascade" begonias.

Then I ventured into the garden and pruned the yellow pyracantha to make a spot to hang a bird feeder. The blue tits are already swooping down to feed!

I've sown 3 of each Marketmore Cucumbers, Shirley, Super Marmalade, Alicante and 6 Sunflowers. All popped into the indoor Growhouse (Temp 24.5)

Finally tidied up after the storms, straightening up the bird feeder and Rose obelisks, chopping away the top growth. Tomorrow I will take a better look and "prune" instead of just firefighting to get into the frames. I'm sure I have thornproof gloves somewhere

My niece, 7, has sown her first seeds and Whatsapped me to show. We have weekly discussions regarding seed sowing, thankfully her birthday card I stuffed with seed baglets was not caught in the customs. It's rather difficult to receive parcels in the EU from outside so I decided to smuggle some interesting seeds inside a card and leave the present parcel for our date in Spain later in the summer. :)

Cleared things out, it's starting to look like proper spring now :)

Five and a half years on I finally got round to putting a slate house sign on the front fence.

                          6FB342F1-34C4-4864-979A-C670E4398DF4.jpeg

It was my birthday yesterday and OH out did himself this year, no smelliest, bubbles or clothes, just all for the garden yay!

Draper Heritage Long T Handled Fork & Trowel
                          Fluorescent green garden gloves
Solar flood light (to go on top of my potting shed)
                          And two MarsHydro TS-600 grow light panels !!! :) :) :)

OH had heard me talking about them when reading out some of GC posts, I’d never dreamed he would get some, so once the second greenhouse is up at Easter and he has got power down there, I can start researching and learning how to use them and what to use them for. I think these may well be something I’ll be using more for next years growing, it is exciting and scary in equal measures!
