No, we have an old cottage in the middle of the orange orchards (not ours). We have a relatively small garden on rock and clay and I have LOTS of pots (60+ I guess). I have been on this forum for nearly 16 years and do An Algarve Garden every year.

Just spent the last couple of hours reading through all your Algarve Garden postings! I found them quite interesting! I marked lots of posts "faved" so your rating will have gone sky high today!

Hi Balc! Lovely to see you on here! Loving your colourful planting in baskets and pots! You’ve such a great way of utilising a smaller space to enhance your area! You always have a bright and cheerful display! Nice to see you on here too! ps. I didn’t realise you’d lived abroad before.

Can't beat a Calibrachoa .... Million Bells as they are known too I think...... fab 'no worry' plantings. I've been using them in my hanging baskets for a few years now and love them so much .........

I used Calibrachoas for the first time last year in the 5 hanging baskets at the front of our balcony. They were very nice & flowered well all summer! I'd like to get some more this year again.

Yes, I lived in Spain for the better part of 30 years! I met my wife there & we have 3 grown up children & 5 gkids! Our 3 were born in Spain & 2 of our granddaughters were as well. Now 1 of our sons still lives there & has a daughter with his partner. The other two followed us back to the UK. Our other son is married to a Spanish lady & has 1 daughter. Our daughter is married to an English man & has 3 children,1 girl & 2 boys. We've been back here for 20 1/2 years now!
