They will certainly be a pretty and fragrant addition, Balc! Looking forward to seeing them in bloom later on.

The Sweet Williams seem to be getting along just fine. I gave them their first good watering since planting them out. As we are forecast another few days of warm weather I hope they will grow strong enough to flower hopefully in May - if they don't I'll be left with "egg on my face"! :roflol:

We had a balcony in Plymouth many years ago, grew tomatoes, Sunflowers, Strawbs, and plenty of other things. People wondered if we could grow the wrong stuff:mute:, but no we stuck with what we could eat and view rather than get a tap at the door from the big red key.:wallbanging:

I've also grown Sunflowers, Tomatoes & Strawberries on the balcony over the years. Also tried growing potatoes, Cucumber, Green Beans but tomatoes are what grow best for me. I've grown them every year during the 20 years we've lived here

@Kate123 You won't have to wait much longer as they are just starting to come into flower now at the end of May. I had expected them to flower a couple of weeks ago but they had other things in mind! :)

This week I intend to make more changes to the balcony. I want to plant lots of the Geranium & Pelargonium rooted cuttings in the gardens of my church. I also want to buy some Petunias & Lobelias & hopefully plant the small tomato plants of 'Gardener's Delight' into the growbags that have been waiting for them for the last couple of weeks.

Just during the last couple of days I've seen flower buds on the tomato plants. :)

Tomorrow I plan on sowing 'Morning Glory' seeds on the balcony. Last week I put new strings up to replace last year's. I ordered some seeds on Saturday or Sunday, as I couldn't find any in town. They arrived this morning! I've opened the packet & put the seeds in some water so they will be ready for tomorrow. :)
