There has been a plan put forward by a city councillor to rename Melville Street in Edinburgh as Volodymyr Zelensky Street. And why that street? It is where the Russian Embassy is!
I say, go for it.

 

Dont think I would want to be addressing any letters to that street.

I really dont think this kind of thing helps much.

 

In Finland the city Open Street Map (that works like Wikipedia so anyone can contribute) had a nicely made upgrade. It went live before it was checked and the addition was found.

I see that 3 British "Ex" special service personnel were killed yesterday in Ukraine.

I wonder at what point they became "Ex", presumable when they crossed the border into Ukraine because we are not taking part. Are we?

 

Official line and unofficial line can sometimes be different.

I dont think Russia is the only country that doesn't tell the truth all the time.
Of course Russia doesn't have the likes of the Daily Mirror, Daily Mail to deal with.

I'd be surprised if special forces of more than one country are not in there, but dont tell anyone.

 

My assessment of the current situation:

Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy = comedian turned Leader;
Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson = comedian.

 

Russian forces shot and killed 10 people standing for bread in the northern Ukrainian city of Chernihiv, the US embassy in Kyiv said.

Regardless of the outcome of any 'peace talks' - Putin has got to pay for this.

Keep the sanctions in place until Russia has paid to rebuild Ukraine - until Russia is unable to wage war - until murderers pay for their actions in the Hague.

 

I think Boris is a great leader.

He's led us all up the garden path pretty well.

What I will say is I really dont get the labour party slagging him off for going to Saudi Arabia to try and get them to up oil production and supply us.

Oil prices are sky high and they are making statements like Boris is swapping one dictator for another.

Starmer, if you were running the show you would have to be doing the same, its no good harping on about how we should be using renewables, we need it now, not ten years time and how we should be more self sustaining for energy.

If we were self sufficient for oil, gas and electricity we would still be paying the same, because we would still be paying world prices.
