As usual, our promised rain did not arrive. It is still eerily murky and 18c. Better than in Spain and France where it is raining mud on the ski slopes! :yikes:

Stopped raining but we now have a stream running down our lane outside, I expect it's flooded further along. We're dipping to -1C tonight so it will undoubtedly be a bit hazardous first thing tomorrow.

A lovely spring day after the 60kmph winds yesterday. A glimpse of the sun would have been welcome, but at least it's mild (19°C) and calm. The Saharan sand storm seems to have by-passed us which is a shame...I can always use some free soil improvement

Well I was hoping for a delivery of free fresh cactus compost, but collecting it is proving difficult.

Apparently, in the departéments north of here, they're scraping sackfulls off every flat surface! Whatever do you want to grow those nasty, spiny, vicious things for? :roflol: I did battle tidying up my Agaves last week...they were :catapult: that close to being hoiked out altogether

Hope it washes the sand off pete. I thought it was dust to start with but it feels gritty and has collected in the vents on my car.

A light, shower of rain last evening but sunny, dry and calm today. If there's no decent rain here in the next few days (and it's looking unlikely) the hosepipe will come into use. 10C/50F

After a wet day yesterday: today is fine and cool; sunny morning rising from 5 to12°C, then sunny intervals this afternoon.
