That was our official reading, I'm absolutely sure it was actually higher in our garden as it's a right sun trap in most areas of it. I did actually put sun block on .

Sorry, but sun traps dont count.:heehee:
Which is why I only use my own temps for comparisons with my other temperature readings.

I agree. Our Courtyard (kitchen patio) is a sun trap ... no, it is a hell hole of heat and I would never quote a temp even in the shadiest place from there! Our thermometer is on the ledge on the North side of the outdoor living room in a spot where the sun never shines.

I wasn't counting it, just noting it was a lot warmer that's all.....no cheating here.:dbgrtmb:

Our outside thermometer is in constant shade too. :dbgrtmb:

I'm not saying cheating,, its more about keeping the thermometer in the same place all the time and not moving it around, that way you get to compare your own temperatures.

Now sunshine temperatures really are cheating.

No frost this morning but it should be a good day. The sun is just hitting the tops of our tallest trees. A big group of pigeons usually sit up there to catch the first rays but are not there today . Maybe they had a party last night and have all got hangovers :heehee:

A little while later and the sun has come low enough to start lighting up the new blossom on our Prunus nigra and the young leaves on the willow
