Your Day (apart from gardening) - what took place?

I hmm'd and haa'd then ordered five lots of yarn for my craft projects from Denmark.

 

My step-daughter visited. She has just got a job in Edinburgh and is searching for a flat and finding it very difficult. There is one possibility but there is nothing in it. Not even lightbulbs!

 

Went to B&Q to pick up a spider house plant and some compost.

Their 'GoodHome MPC' is peat free (as per their website) but doesn't mention peat free anywhere on the packaging - it just says 'from sustainable sources' - which I thought was odd.

I've used it all up this afternoon - I can't tell it apart from the peat based stuff.

You can never have enough compost IMHO.

 

As everyone knows - I purchased a new Dacia car last year. Just got an email from Dacia showing off their new model - £14,500 GBP. What a bargain - anyone looking a new larger car - feast your eyes upon this beauty:

From beeb - this gave me a good laugh - I don't know why...

A life-sized plastic gorilla has been stolen from a man's home in a dawn raid. The brazen act was caught on CCTV, with police now appealing for information to catch the suspect.

The owner said that the community was "devastated" by the theft.

 

Booked a holiday in Spain to meet my sister, brother and most importantly, my niece whom I have never met in flesh. It's much cheaper and quicker to meet in Spain than organising UK- Finland travels, and I'm really looking forward to a Spanish villa and long walks with my loved ones.

Oddly, convenient direct flights from Newcastle to Spain were cheaper than our recent train tickets to London.

Now I need to book superduper travel insurances, thanks to Brexit the old E111 card is no longer the cushion. Oh, and must find a currency card and check phone usage conditions. But hey ho,

Today went to see my friend, haven't seen her for a long time, first because of Covid and then she split up with her partner and i was waiting for her to settle in.

Hopefully I'll see her every other Saturday. I still miss going to see my other friend on Saturdays who passed away over a year ago, but not from Covid.

 

That'll be good @Logan is so good and important to keep in contact with all our friends, they are so beneficial to our wellbeing.

I had a friend that we lost too early just a few days before my Dad passed away..still greatly missed. Just have to remind myself that she was sadly very ill and is now at peace..

 

Had the first of , hopefully, many BBQ's yesterday!

 

Looks yummy Upsy. I would be able to manage half of that! Hopefully you will be able to repeat the performance today.

The Barby looks yummy, someone around here had one and that was the first this year.

 

Yes Vicky just had another one chicken this time served in a wrap with our salad.

Friends are precious, get on a lot better with them than family most of the time!!!

I have one coming over tomorrow that I've known for over 40 years. Looking forward to it....she has family like mine so we exchanged moans....it helps because she knows my family and I know hers too . Hubs makes us a big pot of tea and vanishes for the morning
