I wouldn't entertain such a contraption on the wall! :hate-shocked: Some years ago T'other Half bought me a Mangar Inflatable Bath Lift as a surprise for my birthday!!!! Yes, a surprise indeed I used it twice ... horrid thing! The control unit is loud and the whole thing is too heavy for me to lift! An expensive mistake ... should have asked me first, but ....

Edit. This is the wall it would have to go on ...

My sister didn't have the space at the side or wall space as she has a low ish window.
We had the guy round to give us a demo....as well as he could within the space limitations that is. But it was easy to manipulate and certainly wasn't noisy..

And we ordered the diving board to match.:roflol: Just to be sure that it is April 1st.
Standard height due to wife being short and me being tall. What a dilemma this is, not wanting to be on the long and the short of it.:dunno:

Have you considered a walk in shower with hand rails and seat ?

Might sound like a lot of work, but it can be a real boon as getting in and out of a bath only gets harder.

Rather than buying a complete new toilet, consider the extra height seats ( which most folk hate visually) or one the Plinths to go under the existing bowl as in the pic.
Either way worth getting one of the cheap extra height seats just so she can make sure its at a comfortable height.

My other option is a walk-in shower ... but I like my soak in the bath.

Have you considered getting a couple of these? They'll get you in and out of the tub in a blink and come with free towels! ;)

We have just had our bathroom overhauled as I was finding getting in and out of the bath difficult, so have a walk in shower now. But we added a few bits to future proof it for us as it made sense, an electric toilet which is making life a bit more beneficial to hygiene as we get older.
Underfloor electrical heating which we may not need unless we go solar, but to retrofit would be expensive.
So how is bathroom life now well I have a seat to sit down in the shower as without would be dangerous, it a removable glass panel so a wheelchair can fit in, I use less water so less expense. It is easier to clean, no leaning over things to open windows, no clutter as it’s in the drawers and an altogether better place.

Just done comparison with our heating.
We have a large conservatory with wet underfloor heating, it has thermal roof panels with no other form of heating, it’s 33 sq mts in size.
We have a lounge that has a gas fire and a central heating radiator, we have been using the conservatory as our main room for 4 years now.
On the smart meter we have been on average on budget every day now in March, so we stopped rooms to see the difference.
I turned the underfloor heating off and we moved to the lounge, we would need the central heating on most of the day as it gets no sun so is a cold room to start with even in summer.
The gas usage was the same as the other days when cold, but there were other points we noted.
The house was colder all over apart from the lounge, the conservatory went down to 9 deg C at night, we normally have the heating on 2 hours in the morning but not after that, so we would need to address that for the house to be warm through out the day.
With the underfloor heating on and no central heating on, the house was noticeably warmer this morning the underfloor heating is off as it’s gone up to 29 deg C. So what is our average cost in gas and electric well in winter it’s average is £5 a day, which is less than I was paying 10 years ago and it’s a bigger house.

Had a bit of a lazy day today .
Hubs had to go for his 4th Covid jab this morning and on the way back he did a small grocery shop to save me going later with him as my knee has been grumbling since yesterday afternoon. I hate leaving him to do this alone as we're both not keen shoppers and like to share the horrid jobs.

It was quite nice I must say to be able to vacuum all of downstairs without getting disturbed though.:heehee:

Made a couple of catch up video calls this afternoon and replied to a friend's email. Had a lovely phone call from a friend whose husband has been poorly lately and fixed up a date to meet up in town for a coffee, cake and catch up.

Then had my daily recovery walk up our lane and back. The last couple of days I've comfortably managed just over mile but today I just did a gentle stroll up to our neighbours farm and back as it was 'be kind to knee day'.
