The rain blew out of the region and we've had sunny sunny sunny skies and 46f so I skipped outside to play.

Got the floor of the greenhouse swept and tidied it up. Then laid out the solar panel wiring from the fence to the greenhouse. Three times and possibly a bazillion more as I can't decide which end I want the the extra length/slack.

Got a lot of zinnias potted up and now I have 6 impatiens seedlings! I think I figured out how to get a better chance of germination. Heat. Tropical heat. The probe fell out from under the mat so it got hotter than usual. A lucky mistake.

Oh not really gardening but I removed the scope from my weenie rifle as it would not calibrate properly and went back to the regular sight. Second trysie shot was just outside the bulleyes on a target I had scribbled on a post it note. ;) Just try tearing up my garden you wascally waccoon! You'll get a sting in your backside now! :paladin:

I don't know how I got the thumbs up guy to be an attachment. Sorry for that.

And forgot to mention that I climbed up on the deck handrail and sidled along over the the corner :hate-shocked:to unscrew/remove the mounting brackets for a solar panel I have moved.

I can't stand heights and I never think of how high off the ground my feet are, I thinking of the distance at my eyes/what I am viewing.

I now have just about got every fixture at the back of the house that required ladder work, moved to an easier to reach location now. ;)

Success at last! Yes, sometimes heat helps. In my case I sometimes have failures because I can't offer the cold! :rolleyespink:

Thank you @Upsydaisy I got on just fine. I have a great respect for gravity and keep a steely grip on anything I can to stabilize myself.

And I will carry on getting the greenhouse ready for Monday. I plant to populate it and turn the heat on low as it not to be so cold out that the bit of heating will break me financially. :fingers crossed: I hope.

I have some more potting up to do later today :blue thumb:
A friend sent this to me... I guess I don't hide my enthusiasm very well!

Did start to do some weeding in the back garden but just had some heavy showers.

I was going to do a quick walk around the back yard before going out but I changed my mind!

I sowed some Yellow Pygmy dwarf sunflowers after my T&M Valentine sunflowers failed to germinate. Also sowed a Black Cherry and Tigerella tomato.

I took delivery of some small turnbuckles so I strung some wires for future Sweet Peas and Morning Glory. Lifted a loose piece of slab and prepared for some Lemon Thyme to go in and started some Hawthorn cuttings.

Well, one thing he showed me is that the earth had thawed deeper down than in a normal year.

Went out and buried the wires from the three solar panels that I had moved to the back fence . :)

Yup, forgot to put on my trashed up jeans and now I don't have any left that are good enough to be seen in public

Today I bought an Acer Katsura while doing the grocery shop (£10). I then returned home to find a Japanese Quince, ordered recently, had arrived. After lunch, we lifted a Witch Hazel, which wasn't doing well, and moved it to another part of the garden. We then planted the Quince in its vacated hole and found a spot in the shrubbery for the Acer. We are running out of places to plant larger shrubs and trees.
My wife had asked me to buy some flowers with the groceries and I picked up a bunch of Alstroemeria. I thought they looked lovely so I ordered 3 Jumbo Plugs plants from T & M.
I removed another batch of Sweet Pea seedlings from the heat mat and commenced hardening them off.

I had never come across them until I saw the bouquet in Morrisons. Once I saw them I had to have them.

Load of sweet peas to plant out, peas to go into veg plot, fertiliser on fruit trees then mulch, first job is to clear up the prunings from various places to one spot for shredding, need to thin out Phyllostachys nigra, clear space in greenhouse and then weeding.
                                That's me until Easter Monday.
