Last year when we could get free flu vaccine, my surgery took a bit longer to start it,I think that it will be the same, hubby will have to wait a bit longer, but he will check it when he thinks that he needs to.:dbgrtmb:

Oh dear @landimad I hope that you feel better soon, don't let it get you down. I know what it's like when the spine goes like that, have to be careful when sneezing, I try and stop them by holding my nose, closing my eyes and holding my breath until it goes.:)

Sorry to hear about about your back @landimad . As a fellow sufferer of several different back conditions all I can offer is (1) if you feel a sneeze coming look up into a bright light (2) if you can't stop in then sit down and press your spine gentle but firmly into the back of the chair and hug a cushion/ pillow into your stomach/ chest area ..both of these actions will serve as a support mechanism for your spine. Hope is settles down soon for you. Take it easy:dbgrtmb:

Well, back still in pain. Thanks for the advice, and I shall carry on regardless. Meds. seem to take the edge off, but I shall be more careful how I sneeze in future.:dunno:

Had a proper Finnish Easter bonfire to ward off witches and evil spirits. Some food was cooked as well, and we enjoyed the mellow evening and a good chat. And I'm still around ;)

Today my step-daughter finally secured a flat, so it was pick her up from her temporary residence, home for lunch, then into the city to pick up the keys and down to the flat to get moved in. The flat is nice, furnished, the cleaners arrived just after we did and once we had emptied the car it was 100 yds along the road to one of two pubs, coffee and cake then we left her to get settled.
What a joy to get my car back again because for the past few weeks it has been full of stuff her mum thought she would need. Everything except the CBW suit.

I had 4 friends over this morning + dog!! :doggieshmooze:

As it's so gorgeous here we all sat out in the garden. One friend who I haven't seen for 3 years started to feel chilly ( everyone else was roasting!) so I grabbed her an extra cardigan. She came over 3 weeks ago on a 6 month holiday from South Africa.....so we could all appreciate her need for an extra layer!! It's another friends birthday on Saturday so we celebrated early!!:birthday:

Thanks Vicky, yes we all had a fabulous time.

Just got back from the Drs, he advised me to leave it until October ( a year). They don't deal with such things at the surgery anymore, so if it's still problematic in Oct then I'll be referred to the hospital.
Hope you're day is going well xx.

Just driven back via my parents old house.....no building renovations, in fact nothing has changed since the day we closed the door on it for the final time 17months ago. I'm not even sure if the buyers are even living in it, weeds all over the driveway. The beautiful big red Azalea is out in a mass of bloom though under the dining room bay window.
I wonder what state the back garden and both the ponds are in.....best not to think too hard, just remember it as it was when they were both still here with us.
