Ben the Gardener comes this morning. He doesn't come till 11-ish so I have time to do my static cycling and pottering around.

I've got a few indoor chores to do until the sun muscles through and shoves the cold out.

Hi all, sorry very late!, my parents have been visiting this am and had a potter around our garden, my dad said I’ve inherited his green fingers which makes me proud, I must be doing a good job .

Afternoon @Flumpy , thanks for your suggestion but I don't need a tonic, it wouldn't make any difference at all. As I said before that was the one my Mum always dished out to us for a couple of weeks to boost our recovery if and when we became ill. Thanks for the thought though.

It’s raining on and off here so we are going to pop to the garden centre as I forgot to pick up some grass feed last week, our lawn is looking a little patchy after scraping the moss up, breakfast first though…… tea, coffee or apple juice anyone?

 

It is Mother's Day here so the restaurants will be heaving with the whole family taking the Matriarch out to lunch.

It is also May Day here (Workers Day) so a National Holiday so the beaches will also be heaving. UK is the only "country" who moves May Day to the Monday. The rest of the world celebrates today.

 

Has anyone ever been to Hermes Island for a holiday? Reviews say it’s gorgeous but difficult to travel too

 

Sorry I missed your message, glad we have it on a Monday means we can have a day relaxing, I never knew Mother’s Day in Portugal was in another month or is it the uk that’s different?

 

And it goes faster the older you get.
I remember telling my grandmother many years ago that the time goes by so quickly, and she said 'Wait till you're my age' ... and it's true.
And I'm older now than my gran was when I said that to her.

 

Yes, it is in different months ... and different again in America. The same goes for Father's Day/ And even different in other countries!
