And rightly so! Men and ladders don't compute.

@Jiffy I'm sorry I had to rate your post "funny" but I pictured you watching your CCTV and seeing something similar to a Laurel & Hardy skit! I've done the "step on a rake and bonk yourself with the handle" bit. I was lucky that when I did it, I had stepped back on it so got the handle upside the back of my head which I believe is harder than my nose! Hope you start loosening up soon :fingers crossed:

I can't moan about anything. I've had lots of rain to get the garden ready for planting out and the rake safely stowed so I won't be getting a beating today :heehee:

Most impressive ladder you've got, @Jiffy ! Glad to see the plants were unharmed and that you got that handsome young lad to sort out the mess ;)

And more seriously, good to hear you are all right. Take care now. :)

I went into the Greengrocers (which has new owners) you put the produce you want to buy in a bowl, when I got to the counter the guy licked his fingers to open a plastic bag, I said NO and walked out. I didn't want his spit on my Veg:nonofinger:

@john558 EWWW! I agree that is nasty. Had something similar happen when a butcher was putting sausages on the wrapping paper and in between, with his gloved hand, he scratched the hair behind his ear. EWWW! Needless to say, I walked away without the package.

You know I'm a terror for licking a finger, no one thought much about it years ago, it was common practice.

It can take me 10 mins to open a plastic bag if I don't.

I still struggle to separate money, especially new notes, the plastic ones are a nightmare, so slippery.

What about the old spit on the hand before the handshake to settle a deal.

Driving past Morrisons on Sunday - thought we'd pop into their small garden centre to pick up some bush lobelia, stocks and marigolds. £5 for 1 tray of each. Cor - I thought - these are good quality and cheap - I'll pick some more up during the Tuesday weekly shop.

They had sold out of everything except violas.

I cursed and spat yesterday when I arrived at my very tidy allotment to find several mouse holes dotted around. No doubt they are helping themselves to my swift new potatoes, followed by the maris peer's.

Is anyone else totally p***ed off with this Jonny Depp rubbish on the news every night, it just a bunch of silly actors role playing.
It doesn't even deserve a hearing let alone keep putting the farce on the news all the time.
