    Hi all,

I planted this last autumn and it produced 3 flowers last week but they died very quickly. (less than 2 days)

What happened and what can I do to rectify? I think I noticed some insects on underside and now plant seems to be in a poor state and wilting.

Will it flower again if I deadhead or do I have to wait till next year?

Is it in the ground or a container and have you been watering it? Our Clematis all take a lot of water. Two ars in containers and two in the ground.

Also apparently they like to be fed twice a week (tomato feed is fine) I didn't know this, and my new one wasn't look very happy, not growing at all. Since we fed it and watered it at the weekend, I've seen some signs of new growth so fingers crossed it will get going again now.

Clematis have always been a mystery to me, they seem to thrive or die, or just hang on and look awful.
    Just saying
