WHAT ARE WE DOING IN THE GARDEN TODAY - 2022

Today I dug the soil away from around our Chocolate Vines, sprinkled Rootgrow around them then backfilled with well-rotted organic farmyard manure. I then gave them both a soaking with a seaweed extract solution.
Cut the grass around my bit of garden now that the Siberian Squill has died back. I edged it then watered it with "Lawn Magic".

 

Got me an unwelcome visitor in the shape of a rat. Need to either move it on or get the right stuff for the job in hand. Sorry to all those furry lovers, but they are not my cup of tea.

 

I received a pack of 9 Penstemon plugs this afternoon so after tea, I went out and potted them up before putting them in the cold frame. I also got word my Berberis darwinii will arrive tomorrow so I prepared a hole for it and then made up a mixture of compost and the removed soil for filling back in, once it is planted.

 

I still don't know which one and I don't get any numbers on each posts.

 

I've been tidying a little neglected patch at the bottom of the garden, getting rid of weeds and cutting back a shapeless Skimmia , and then I planted a new hardy Geranium there and a white Sanguisorba tenuifolia taken from the front garden.
There's a Weigela shrub growing there as well and I planted some Snowdrops bulbs from a pot.
I put some little fences that were looking for a home at the back and side of the patch and it looks much better now

I agree with Logan here. She was laughing at me regarding the toilet roll situation and thanking Upsy regarding the Wallflowers.

It depends how you interpret the post ....just wasn't very clear. I thought you seemed to be thanking me for something Vicky had said to you.

 

@Logan have you ever thought of going "up market" and using kitchen roll cardboard tubes.

 

Cut off all the blooms from the Pelargoniums to redirect their strength into bulking up and gave them a tidy up and feed . Worked my way through feeding most of the remaining plants in the greenhouse and coldframes and just have the Fuchsias to do tomorrow. Everything is hopefully ready to be planted out in a coup!e of weeks time.

 

That's ok it was probably how I did it. I was trying to save a bit of time but it only caused confusion. But I get the word bookmark but i don't get a number beside it.

 

Now why didn't i think of that?
