Ouch! You're right about the price tag. I think I'd be inclined to shop around, or perhaps go for something cheaper and disguise it.

I thought about cladding it but with timber prices and effort/time I guess it would still work out pricey!

Did you look at evengreener's decorative range? Some are a bit cheaper - £115-£120 - but yes, anything fancy always seems to command a three-figure price. Annoying as I doubt the production cost can actually be that much higher than for one of the standard green ones!

Bit tacky perhaps, I dunno, but get an ordinary one and some of that sticky false hedge print that people put on wheelie bins.

I agree and it feels a rip off but it looks as though that's what we're stuck with. Thanks for the link I'll take a look.

          Umm, no! Cannot stand it.

Oh well, it was worth a try.

I've seen ordinary(cheap) ones painted with acrylic paints to pretty them up....better than stickers if you're artsy and craftsy

I have been known to be! Not going to be on my butt though :roflol:

I'm now thinking of just grabbing one of the cheaper ones and getting on with it. I'm not sure I can justify spending 4x the price just to have a slightly fancier water tank

That looks quite neat , do you find the capacity is enough?

Must admit that looks very nice but that's a hefty price tag.

I agree, disproportionate cost for making it look pretty!
Wickes have a 210l kit for less than 40 quid. I am still tempted by the fancy one but hard to justify

Have you considered burying it below ground.? Plenty of cheap solar pumps to accompany it, for can filling or irrigation.
