Lori, do you have to pay child support there for children over 18? over 21? What a mess it all is and I sincerely hope it can be resolved soon.

Finally getting there. The guys had to leave as the chainsaw blade became dull but said they will be back tomorrow at 9am. So T'other Half will nip out and get shopping and go to the Post Office 7kms away (we have a box there, no mail at home).

The Dutch Mill sounds like my kind of place. I eat nuts daily as a protein snack and we get all sorts here ... dry roasted honey and salt are good, yum.

Enjoy your outing, well,, I am sure you will. ;)

@Victoria usually a parent only continues some child support after 18 in order to help the child of the marriage attend post secondary school. The mother should not be receiving any for these two because neither one attends school and indeed have their own means of support. The company who employed my son for 25 years went out of business shortly after the start of the pandemic so he had to seek work elsewhere and start at the bottom of the ladder at a much lower rate of pay. The mother has had her lawyer (yes, she can afford one) delay, deny, delay, delay and refuses to concede to the actual facts of years and dollars. Very upsetting for us.

Yes, I like nuts too. I eat a handful of raisins every day as my fruit "serving" and then I too like my red wine (another fruit serving :heehee:) chilled or made into a spritzer. It is supposed to be sunny tomorrow so I plan to put a carton of eggs in the sunoven to hard cook. They will make a nice, filling, protein snack. I've lost 1 pound and plan to get rid of the other 4 that I put on this last winter!

Oh my gosh Lori that sounds an horrendous situation for your poor son ( and you) to have to find yourselves battling against.

I'm definitely with team Lori all the way, no way can it be even contemplated that it should be given any consideration whatsoever that he should pay towards any of his older children's keep. I'm astonished!!

The lazy so and so's should ( apologies Lori ,I know they're your grandkids...but:wallbanging:) be made to realise that without earning a wage then they must consider themselves extremely fortunate to receive the bare minimum from a parent....food and a bed only !!
You are such a lovely supportive Mum and Grandma they should all count their lucky stars that they have you!

Wishing your son and you all the luck in the world, and really hoping you both win your case.:grphg:

@Upsydaisy I figure those two lazy louts got their genetics from their grandfather. The man I divorced while my boys were toddlers. ;)

I'm hoping the judge will simply look at the hard facts and do the logical thing. :fingers crossed:

Had a wonderful time at the Mill with my friends. I have too many plants in my gardens and more seedlings coming up but no, I couldn't resist buying 6 more pots of annuals.

Good morning everyone , how are you today.

For some strange reason I have been feeling completely shattered lately and have been going to bed early ( I'm normally a night Owl and go up around 12:30- 1am). Last night I could hardly keep my eyes open so ended up crawling into bed at 9:3Opm didn't hear hubs coming to bed at 10:30 and I slept through until just before 6am without waking at all. Unfortunately I still can't say I feel much better this morning. Must be the weather...well have to blame it on something!:heehee:

Well, yesterday I forgot that we were going out again in the afternoon ( niece's birthday).... so definitely today is booked for attending to the needs of all my poor plants and in finding them their forever homes.

That's the plan for today and I'm sticking to it. :dbgrtmb:

            Enjoy your day.

It is going to be a lovely day. Hope the builders turn up to do a bit more. No special plans for me.

Is it a holiday weekend there?

I think the British are the only ones who move holidays to suit!

No builders. Poor Van is already in hiding ... he went out at 8 but was back in by 9 (he is clever with time). He came through the lounge just before 10, looked out the kitchen door and has gone back to the bedroom. J is out front making noise so guess he thought it was the builders. We are all fine thank you.

Hope you and R have a restful day .... even if you are pottering in the borders.

:heehee: Yes very true but then again at least the workerforce....well most, will get a decent break.

What was the reason the builders gave for not coming today?
                    It's looking good though :dbgrtmb:

Is it only Van that's a bit cautious ?

None ... heard nada from them. :dunno: :wallbanging:

Munch loves everyone which can be more worrying. Thank goodness we live where we do with virtually no people. Van is not afraid of the farmer across the lane and behind us. He can be up on a gatepost as Antonio goes by on the tractor and he doesn't flinch. I am sure it has something to do with his life before us and the permanent bare patches on his front leg. Poor poppet. :cat-kittyandsmiley:

                        Good day
It is 66f 17c WOW, very mild for this early in the morning :) And it is raining. Lots of free water is coming down and I have several little chores to do to keep me occupied. And I need to do some grocery shopping before the weekend. I'm going to cheat and set the pvr to record Doc Martin this morning so that I can get everything done and then relax.

I did make a few quick runs to the kerb this morning with some wire racking. Because Monday was a holiday, our pick up for recycle and food bins is moved to tomorrow. Plus it is our rubbish day and "big" garbage - we can put out three pieces of big stuff such as a couch, a chair and a table. But I don't have anything like that, just the shelves from some wire racking which are shaped to hold wine bottles. I had switched over to a wine fridge about 20 years ago so why I didn't throw them out earlier is a ? We are not allowed to put out metal, ever, but scavengers come by just before big garbage day so I know they will grab those and save me from a trip to the dump.

@Victoria I sincerely hope the builders get on with finishing your work. Your weather is so lovely that it is a shame to waste a day waiting for others to get on with things!

@Upsydaisy do you think the Queen will step down after she has reached her jubilee? It sounds like she really needs to retire and have some quiet times.

                        Cheers :coffee:

                          Have super day Lori:)

I personally think she should, I would've thought it would make a very proud moment see your heir being coronated ...why wait until you're dead and buried?

I have to say she's step back quite a bit now and Charles and Camillia are taking on more roles now.

It's ' watch this space' time I think.

Enjoyed the whole day at home yesterday, it was lovely.
It did get a tad too hot at times in the garden but today we're having the same temps but with a bit of cloud to make it more bearable. I hope!

                              Saturday Roses.jpg Morning all.

The sun has been out for more than ten minutes now but it promises to be a fine day and not too hot, more normal for May.

I may sort more clothes out for charity. T'other Half is delivering a guitar then going to Leroy Merlin (like B&Q) for ant capsules and compost.

                              Have a good day.

Good morning all, the sun is out here but it’s still got a cool breeze, I’m just off to the hair dressers now and May pop to my parents for a quick chat and a cup of tea while I’m there :coffee:

Have a lovely day all and try not to do too much :imphrt:
