Today has been mild with the sun trying to break through the cloud and leaving a very still atmosphere with a glow to the sky.

            Very poetic.

Its just been cloudy here with a brightening around 4 pm, feeling cold at an absolute max of 17c.
Roll on July, just about to turn the fan heater on.

Today's been a disappointing day with lots of clouds & no brightness even to speak of. Quite a cold day as well! Temps only got up to about 16C! The wind was light but it carried some moisture in it too. No rain today & none forecast for tomorrow when temps are forecast by the Met Office app on my phone to peak at about 19-20C!

There's not the hint of a breeze and the sun is trying hard to break through the light cloud cover that is showing tiny spots of blue sky.

Sky seems to be clearing at last, not sure for how long though.
12c overnight, wouldn't be too bad if it was to actually warm up during the day which it has hardly done for the last couple.

                              Hi,

The weather here in Yorkshire torments me; I've recently worked outside in dire conditions removing 15 trees; then I've suffered the weather whilst doing a lot of outside painting every time I've painted the rains attacked it.

Yesterday morning I enjoyed a violin practice in our studio but when I came out I was perished and it took ages for me to warm up; I hadn't realized how cold it actually was and of course as usual everything outside was soaking wet.

I was amazed after dinner though; the rain finally quit and I felt like taking a picture of the sun in case I forgot again what it looked like; it's been like living in a black hole but with the rain finally letting go I dashed out and cleaned out the bungalow gutters; the birds had been throwing dirty wet debris from the gutters onto the flags and also messing on the handrails and car so more cleaning to do; the sun is shining as I type and we're at an heady 13C.

I've just enjoyed a violin practice in the studio with the sun streaming through the window making the studio feel warm and cosy; I've just enjoyed a mug of tea so am about to dash back into the studio to make the most of this rare moment in time; think I'm kidding; I wish I was.

Nostalgia with Margaret Watson: Dewsbury's dramatic Great Flood of 1925

Although I now live nearby in Huddersfield I was born in Dewsbury; strange how so long ago our rainfall couldn't be blamed on climate change; factories; mills and homes were coal powered but now with cleaner air little has changed as seen here which again is nearby.

Future of The Ship Inn pub in major doubt after huge flood damage

                              Kind regards, Colin.

I have come in as it is 29c and not much of the breeze we are supposed to have. Munch has come in with me. Van has gone to his "nest" at the base of the Melaleuca where he will stay all afternoon. Sensi-moggies!
