Hubs has a repeat prescription but we fortunately have a delivery service so it just automatically arrives, he doesn't need to keep requesting or collecting it.

My Dad used Pharmacy2u and apart from other meds he too needed large quantities of paracetamol.

If your going to rip down someone phone line DON'T leave it dangling across a public highway for some one else to hit, luckly i seen it dangling and went out and sorted it out so no one else would hit it being that the sun would be in your eyes you may not have seen it and if you are on a motor bike well. it was the right height for, well not nice if it were to happen

I know what it's like to be hit by a illegal cable that was pulled down by a lorry (cable was not above the 16 foot min height) i have a scar just above my right eye

Someone hit a telephone pole outside our house, late at night, and it snapped in two. It broke off at 3'-4' from the ground and the top was suspended across the road hanging on the telephone cable. A following driver, about half a mile back around the bend, in a mini couldn't see the pole as it was black and couldn't see the car that had hit pole as it was in the deep ditch. The pole went through the windscreen but, fortunately, on the passenger side.

I hadn't had a chance to get out there in time, after hearing the crash, to try and flag traffic down. I jumped into my car, parked it in the road with the headlights facing one way and then did the same with Mrs Shiney's and faced it the other way - whilst Mrs Shiney call the emergency services. There is no lighting on our road so another car could have gone into the dangling pole.

The driver of the mini was OK but very shaken. We took her indoors and gave her a hot drink. Never give a car accident person an alcoholic drink even if a shot of whisky or brandy would help them. The police will have to breathalyse them and you would mess up their readings.

The driver of the car in the ditch had to be cut out but only had cracked ribs and a broken leg. Very lucky to be alive. He was drunk!

The bit that worry's me is that people don't care about what they are doing or done in todays world

I know I've had a moan about this before but just found another version....why oh why????:yikes::yikes:

Online games....nothing wrong with most, I have a few that I daily play as brain exercises. What I find unacceptable are the ones that think it's great fun to try and create pain ,suffering or surely in the case of these games.....death to animals.
What in heavens name are we allowing (unbeknownst to parents in most cases I bet) our children to participate in to reap the highs of fun and achievement!!

Just watching the news as usual.
First we get the fact that most people are struggling with the cost of living and the government not helping people out enough.
Next item the half term rush at airports etc.
Those in the queues will be the ones moaning in a few weeks time that they can't afford their energy bills and £400 is not enough.
I might sound hard but I don't remember any handouts last time inflation hit 10%.
Some people are really struggling, but I can't help wondering if there are some out there that assume a holiday abroad is their right.
You hear them say, I've not had a holiday in the sun for 2 yrs:yikes:

I've not had a hoilday for over 40 years!!

Lots of Q's on the motorway head south, buying exspenive fuel only to sit in a Q on the motorway for a few hours

Watched on TV about Deliveroo, order 4 pints of milk and cost over £5 and took 8 minutes delivery then she had to go and get 4 pints of milk from shop down the road £1.09p and took her 11 minutes to walk there and back and she said she will use deliveroo

I say a bloke on a bike with one of those big back packs at 10am this morning.
It went through my mind, what can he be delivering at that time, breakfast maybe.

First of, those of you who know me know that I'm an FFF (foreign food fan) and eat curry all the time. So I have nothing against it.

The 'Comics' (they're not newspapers!) are trying to blow things out of proportion. All he said was that his mum called it 'foreign muck'. That's not derogatory to other peoples. It just says she doesn't like it but using a more common expression than some people would use. Len said he actually liked it so why have a go at him.

Some people just want to have a go about anything! :noidea: :nonofinger: The 'Comics' are just as much at fault for even bothering to report on it.

The part that got me was someone on Twitter "cringing" and expecting the BBC to be doing likewise, and the other remarks, like he should apologise, what's wrong with these morons.

These people are out there, and they make me "cringe", I can tell ya.

Given Len Goodman's age his nan would have been a similar age to mine; so born at the start of the 20th century. The comment would have been typical for someone of that generation.
About 15 years ago one of the bungalows adjoining my garden was let to an Indian family and while I liked the aroma from their kitchen; my then neighbour (20+years older than me) complained about the stink.
nb Coronation Chicken was devised for the Queen's Coronation.

We didn't have it at our Coronation party as Cordon Bleu didn't release it until afterwards. I'm not sure how many people down our street would have eaten it anyway - foreign muck! :roflol:

Went to the docs this morning, stood in the queue outside for 35min, I swear for 20mins the queue never moved.
When I finally reached the desk I asked if I could speak to the doctor today, no she said he's full up today come back at 8.30 tomorrow morning and stand outside.

I noticed that the surgery closes at 1pm today for staff training.
My doc is only there on Mon, Thurs and Fri, so a 2 and a half day week.
I dont know what he gets up to the rest of the time, the practice only has the one surgery now so he cant be at the other surgery like they used to tell us.

There are 5 doctors there and none of them are full time.
