I've given up trying to see my lazy GP face to face.

I need him to sort out my high Heart Rate & Blood Pressure, waiting that amount of time in a queue would put both sky high.
I don't know what the answer is Pete.

I know that in the surgery I attend the doctors split their time between surgery and home visits. Two and a half days on each.

I was told by a nurse at my surgery that none of the GP's were seeing patients face to face. I wonder how they do house visits, look through the house window?

We don't have much of a problem here with doctors. We can ring in (and get an answer) for a telephone appointment or, if examination is necessary a wait up to two weeks.

The problem right now is NHS dentists. My dental surgery is on answerphone most of the time so we're told to leave a message and a call will be returned. That doesn't happen. After spending hours ringing various emergency numbers last weekend I was given an appointment at the dental clinic at our general hospital in Inverness. I'd been in pain with an infection. That dealt with I was told by the dentist there to make an emergency appointment with my own dentist to have the troublesome tooth removed as soon as possible.

Not being able to raise my surgery Mr S took over and rang the emergency numbers again and all said there was nothing they could do, we would have to keep trying my surgery. Mr S was told that my surgery doesn't actually have any dentists at the moment and is relying on the occasional locums, this area having a population of 4000. Having managed to raise someone I may get an appointment next Wednesday if I'm lucky but it may be at another surgery.

A few weeks ago I was awarded a phone consultation with consultant at local hospital 9th June 2022 1430hrs ±30 minutes. Finish work early, obediently sit by phone reading notes, googling meds, listening to Miles Davis ; 1515 hrs mobile goes, it's a locum, trying to talk to me and someone in the office with him. He started Monday and isn't sure of the system; after a brief discussion he says he wants to "upgrade" my appointment to a face to face. as soon as possible, he hopes within the next 4 to 6 weeks' meanwhile carry on as you are and he will cancel another upcoming appointment until I have seen him.

I've had an infection for 5 weeks, GP gave me some antibiotics but they didn't clear it so he gave me another course of the same stuff, still didn't work, surprise surprise.
111 eventually told me to go to A&E.
Got home at 1am,different antibiotics, the doctor said that the stuff the GP gave me was rubbish and loud tut tut when I told him he gave me stuff twice.

Sorry Pete..I'm not liking the fact you have an infection.but that you've finally got some stronger meds. Hope it clears up very soon.

They put one of those needles in my wrist and then couldn't find the antibiotic in IV form.
So they took that out and gave me two of the oral ones, then sent me on my way.
Presumably, because I'd had nothing to eat all day I just brought them up in the car park, so things are not really going to plan even now

So sorry to hear this Pete. Do you know the name of the antibiotic? I have been on Cefazolina, Ceftazidima, Vancomacima, Ciprofloxacina and then Amoxcillin/Clavulanic Acid for five months. I am the queen of antibiotics and avoid all medications now at all costs! Some should be taken with food and some without.

Did you go back and tell them?
