WOW Victoria; I'd have to be in front of a roaring fire here in Yorkshire to enjoy the temperatures you quote; I don't think Yorkshire thermometers read so high?

Amazingly I feel warm this morning and have just visited three supermarkets and the surgery in lovely sunshine but it's also breezy rather than windy; I love Yorkshire today.



Please see above; the usual BBC weather joke of a forecast; where's the rain.

I'm about to dash into the studio because it's warm in there and I don't want to miss it; I hope my violin bow rosin doesn't melt.

It is even warm for here in June, more like July/August temperatures.

Well, we have hit the 30c mark so the a/c has gone on in the lounge and I decided not to go sit outside.

Doesn't mention the rain and thunderstorms which usually accompany such high temperature?

It is a lovely warm sunny day but the wind is horrendous. Mind you, it would have been uncomfortable without it.

 

Four hours later we have hit 34c and may go to the dizzying heights of 36c tomorrow. Fortunately we have a low humidity of 37%.

 

It's been getting sunnier as the day progressed, a bit breezy though.
Not sure of the max temperature I've not looked, but low 20s I would say.

 

Glorious weather, after rain earlier in the week, so the soil is nice and damp. 27C /13C progressively going up to 36C /18C over the weekend. Swimming pool time

You may well be right!

 

We started off the day with a beautiful clear blue sky! Lovely to see the sky that colour! During the afternoon it got a bit cloudier but no rain & then in the evening the clouds started to roll away & the sun came out again. The wind was a bit cool early on in the day & got a bit stronger than I think was forecast. Nevertheless it doesn't seem to have caused any further damage to my Geraniums on the balcony railings.

According to the apps we had a maximum of around 20C today - over several hours as well! They forecast a similar sort of day for tomorrow with perhaps a degree or two more of heat!
