Upsydaisy our son has hayfever and 10 years ago he moved back to Worcester and he didn't have it. Last year it came back and he has problems with his eyes, he gets eye drops from the opticians, it's a water based gel and can use it as much as the person likes, it does help.

Yes thanks Logan I have both eye drops and medication.....it's just a very bad year in general . I also have to keep my sun glasses on even if the sun isn't actually shinning but nevertheless the sky is bright. It certainly doesn't help being surrounded by fields and woodlands. The tree pollens are waning now but the grass pollens are reaching their peak times.

Just came in to get dinner on the go. Hubs is rubbing down and staining the main entrance and kitchen patio doors.l have fed the Strawberries, Blueberrys, Blackberries, Grape Vine and Tomatoes.

Watered and fed all the potted plants that are in containers, troughs and urns. Removed some Aphids from some Dahlias.
After dinner I have the last couple of raised beds to spruce up a bit....well to be honest..a lot !:heehee:

Planted out the last of the good plants of cosmos in the border. Got some that I didn't pot up because i hadn't got the room but i might put those in the big pots and see what happens.

Busy day with both myself and the boss hand-weeding. It seems to be an endless task.
I then potted up some Red Hot Pokers I had started from seed.
We have several Honeysuckle and Hawthorn growing through the hedge so we took about a dozen cuttings of each before the hedge gets cut.
Painted natural yoghurt on my tree stump in my fern bed then painted concentrated seaweed fertilizer on top Seemingly this encourages the lichen.

Not much right now as we are experiencing quite strong winds this afternoon. I am keeping a close eye on today's laundry as it flips and flaps in the air, I've even treble pegged every item to the line.
I can't work in strong winds as it gives me either a head or earache. So it's laundry watching only .

Hot and sunny here but I've already watered the stuff in the shade.
Planted some perennials and potted up some trailing begonias.

                        What I lurned today....

It's not easy to attach a latch to a feather edge gate . I've had to bodge a flat area for the latch to go on to. I'm going to give the whole gate a second coat of Curpinol tomorrow to try and hide the cock up.

The only thing I did on the balcony today was to repot 7 Geraniums that were cutting but are now rapidly becoming good plants in their own right!
                            .

The moment I saw this Geranium in the plant nursery my son took me to last year I had to have it! The foliage shone a bright yellow! The flowers are of little consequence as they are fairly small & double. I'm growing it for its leaf colour!
