What's Looking Good In June 2022

I've seen quite big ones left outside around here that seem ok. I have tried mine in an unheated greenhouse and it looked very tatty come the spring so I think a smaller one like mine would be borderline outside.

I tried a big furcraea outside and it died. I've risked planting another one in a more sheltered spot to see if it survives. Have you ever got one to flower?

Our wild area is getting wilder each day but still not showing much colour at this time of the year but is going to take a lot of cutting back later


Although the buttercups are doing well


Poppies are doing their thing of popping up


Some of them still have their hats on


The orchids are taking their time to appear




We have a lot of trees in the garden and the early morning sun was creeping down them (lots of clearing to do in the Autumn

The Clematis topknot on the Lilac tree is now getting going

The buzzies love the poppies






We have loads of these Verbascum chaixii growing wild in one area (only planted a few)


And when they flower they will look like this (don't know how this got into the greenhouse but it's growing in ground)

This rose has an amazing smell but I don't know the name of it


This year we are only growing small plants in the hanging baskets
