Another one that springs to mind (although not a pure white) is S.sclarea var.Turkestanica.

Well, my Salvia 'Caradonna' seems to have already benefitted from the B,F+B it got in early Spring, definitely more growth than I'd expect from the plant simply starting to reach maturity! If it were sufficiently floriferous I think it would make quite a nice container plant eventually. I'm going to try the same with my Salvia 'African Sky' in a pot (bought two recently after losing mine over Winter) and see if I can get it to flower as impressively as it does in the ground!

Bad day too hot for me! The Gardener off on the train to London to see youngest grandaughters degree exhibition! Survived cancelled train and now in Tate having lunch! After I had my leftover cold Pizza from yesterday I took my crusts out for the big birds and found the two white Salvias, both dried and dead! So that's the end of them!
So thanks for all your suggestions. I'll peruse and buy!!!

I haven't spoken before on this thread ... but the best thing for me here in the heat is some of the Salvias, except my S farinacea which prefers morning/early afternoon sun but not the heat of the afternoon. S greggi and S coccinea are fine with the constant heat and don't need so much water and tending to.

          Great Salvias, Victoria!
I'm transplanting/potting up Bluenote today, from seeds collected last Summer.

Salvias surrounding the greenhouse, Caradonnas down the side and Blue Marvel either side of the door.

@Sheps That is really eye catching and I love those terracotta tubs. Are the round blue ones painted terracotta?

@Victoria thanks and yes, the blue pots are painted / glazed clay, I need to find two round terracotta ones to match the side ones.

These are two more I have in pots ..
Salvia coccinea I did from seed ...

Salvia greggi (a small white one I salvaged from the border by the ballustrades above but the red and dark peach died after many years) ...
