Good morning everyone and to all the Dads here have a Happy Fathers Day and I hope you get spoilt.

Definitely a bit cooler today, talking of being spoilt I think we all were by the recent weather.

Off to the cemetery this morning to give my Dad some flowers, I will gather some from the garden selecting those that attract Bees and other pollinators as he had a great love for all wildlife big or small.

    Enjoy your Sunday.

      OMG.....Lori!!!
      I hope you're OK.....!
I can't say ' unbelievable ' really because we have all come to realise that she's a nasty piece of work!!
I hope you managed to get some sleep last night, and that your arm is OK .If ( and I sincerely hope there are no more) you have to serve her again take someone along with you to not only support you but to witness anything untoward.

      Please Lori.

Happy Father’s Day who are lucky enough to be one :imphrt:

Lori so sorry to hear what your going through, I agree with Upsydaisy, definitely have someone with you for whiteness otherwise it’s her word against yours, hope your arm is ok :grphg:

I’m off to my dads again today, it was his birthday Friday and I’d bought him two Koi fish for his pond as it’s what he wanted, he has two bigger ones already but lost two a few years ago so he’s being spoilt rotten :wub2:

Hope you all have a nice day today, thinking of all who have lost there fathers too :grphg: xx

It is a lovely morning here and the day promises to be nice.
We MAY go to LeRoy Merlin in Portimao today (30 minutes away) for trellis for The Baffa, if they have it. T'other Half will look on line. Our local branch (20 minutes) were out.

It will be a relaxing day and I may tidy up the Geranium/Pelargonium troughs on The Baffa ledge if T'other Half gets them down for me.

Emjoy your day whatever you do.

            Good day
Thank you all for your concern. I believe this will be the last time I have to serve her :phew: and my arm only hurts If I poke it, so I just won't poke it!

My father is long gone and his ashes were scattered so I just give a silent smile and imaginary hug to him on father's day.

It is going to be my usual Corrie morning with laundered sheets on the line to gather fresh air. And doing some baking. Back to normal

            Cheers all :coffee:

Good morning one and all !!

                It's a beautiful day outside.

Hope you all had a great weekend and feel ready to face another week.:)

A mix of a day ahead for me housework this morning and some gardening after lunch.

I'm planning on resuming my daily couple of miles walking like I was doing before my op.
I've given up waiting for my 'May' appointment to see the Surgeon and get the thumbs up to go ahead. I will have to start gently and pick days that aren't too warm incase my leg/ knee start to swell like they did last summer.

It will be good to get back to normal life.

I'm nursing a sore thumb after getting a rose thorn in it last week. I had a few feeble attempts to get it out ( I'm a whimp!!) but it wouldn't budge. I eventually put loads of antiseptic cream on and covered it with a plaster thinking it would get drawn out like splinters do. Unfortunately this method doesn't seem to work on thorns, so yesterday morning I just had to gritt my teeth and dig it out :ouch1:.
It put up a good fight but in the end I won and I'm pleased to say the discomfort is gradually easing now.:):blue thumb:

                Have a lovely day .

yay!!:hapfeet:We’ve got a week off work!, it’s so nice to wake up when you want, no alarms going off! Not really planned anything but definitely going on walks, eating out while the weather is good.
Upsydaisy hope your knee doesn’t give you any jip today, gentle walks sounds like a good idea enjoy and don’t forget the sun lotion :dbgrtmb:
Good morning to all who are just rising :spinning:

Just having my mug of peppermint tea and a chocolate chip cookie.

It is a beautiful morning out there.

Upsy, take care of that thumb and enjoy your walk and take it easy. I am up to 90 steps but cut back the cycling to 10 minutes following. Today I am going to practise standing on one leg ... can you do that?

Have a great day one and all.

Morning @Flumpy Have a great holiday both of you.

I use to think like you about how great it would be without having to set alarms, but once you pack up going out to paid work...you find you get up earlier to do all the unpaid work that kept getting put off!!:roflol:

Morning Vicky, probably won't get round to it today as I have a fair amount on my 'to do ' list .

I'm not sure when to start them really as my foot and knee still swell a bit by afternoon and if I walk in the morning and then do all my normal things afterwards then I might be overstressing it and end up ruining all the good work so far.
This is probably why I was told not to do certain things...like even kneeling:oopss: until he sees me again. Trouble is I've been forgotten!
The summer heat is worrying me a bit too if I'm honest..I think it may be wiser to wait and see how my leg reacts to it first. I still have the memories of last summer when it swelled up .
Could just do a couple of walks per week to start with...hmmm need to ponder more .

When will I learn to take heed to my own advice!!

We went on a walk after all only supposedly a 1.5 mile (ish) one but about a quarter of the way into I began feeling very weird ( can't say ill) . I use to get this fairly often when my sugar levels take a nose dive, stupidly I decided that I would carry on and if I was still bad when we past a local shop then I would stop off and buy some boiled sweets...it's amazing how quickly they make a hit on you. Unfortunately as our walk progressed I began to feel really wobbly and couldn't walk straight and my mouth went completely dry !! We decided we had to head back home I called my sister to see if she was in ( as we were passing her house ) but I got no reply . However as we passed I noticed her windows were slightly open ( she shuts them all when she goes out) so we rang her doorbell but perhaps she was in the shower or even in her back garden , she never answered.
So we very slowly made it back here, God knows how!!
I 've now had 2 cups of Redbush tea , 2 Custard Cream biscuits and a few grapes and am now beginning to feel better albeit very sleepy. I am lounging on a recliner on the patio in a warm bit of shade which is rapidly vanishing while hubs is preparing our main meal.

Gosh what a start the day!!! Note to self ...listen to you sensible head not your heart!! !

                              Good day
It is cloudy and 58f out there - what's that celcius.. 14c? Brain is working slower this morning - doh!

@Upsydaisy and @Victoria sounds like you both have thoughtful plans for recuperation and aren't taking any chances which is wonderful. You sure don't want to take 2 steps forward only to have to go back 4!

@Flumpy a staycation is always nice. Your garden looks so relaxing and you've had such a busy couple of years with moving and everything else, you need time to slouch around and soak up the rays!

I go to get the court docs notarized this morning which is the easiest part of the whole process and while I'm out, I'll pick up the new flags I ordered.

My maple leaf is tattered from a harsh winter and it is shameful of me to fly it a minute longer. I bought a new one and a back up so that there won't be any waiting to hoist a new one when the first wears out. :blue thumb:

And one of the grocery stores has 10 kilo bags of flour on sale so I will pick up 3 (their limit) which will get me to September :)

I have work to do but I'm not going to do it. Instead, I'm going through my fabric stash to find another patterned piece to make another "kimono" styled top. The first one I made is really nice however there is a little more cleavage showing than I would normally sport so I'll adjust the pattern for modesty.

                              Cheers :coffee:
