It was just that it didn't sound much to me but @Loofah seemed to think it was a lot.

 

@pete yes, diluted feed...30ml makes 6L in a watering can.

@JWK thanks John, I'll up the feed to 750ml per plant and see if it runs out the bottom of the pots.

Yes, that was my first tomato of the year. Hope yours are as yummy.

 

@eatenbyweasels it looks gorgeous, my first to ripen are these Alicante / Sungold?...or they might be something else entirely, they don't look like they will be turning red so probably Sungold.

 

Between the two, I'd definitely say Sungold, although I've seen your photo with the 50p piece and would say they are on the large size for Sungold. So long as they taste good, and you weren't planning on seed saving, all that matters is to enjoy them.

 

Been really rather cool and windy here for the last few weeks, slow progress.

Biggest is the Godorst Sibiri (pride of siberia), a beefsteak. Bloody butcher has the most green toms. And the oxheart Sevryuga has really light green and nice shaped tiny fruits at the moment. All my plants either only have a few fruit forming, a few barely have any yet. But the plants are looking healthy enough

 

Looking good @Hanglow I'm liking the ones that are the same shape as a Strawberry, very unusual.

 

Amazing stuff, as mine have only just been planted out and some replacements still in initial pots, I'm very far beind!
However as someone who's allergic to the smell of raw tomatoes (sure its genetic as one of my grandchildren has the condition) the picture of the sliced Tom's made me feel a little sick! I eat cooked Tom's every day. My wife eats them raw and stores them, plus herbs, in the freezer. Mind you I think the fact you're eating them so early suggests really good skills!

 

Just stuck 2 gartenperle in a pot and made a little frame, see how it goes.
