Sorry only just dropped in ...been a full on day!

Vicky you and J had great vision to see beyond the 'ruin' ( your name for it ,not mine :heehee:) to create your fabulous home in the sun. It's a gift to have such a talent, hubs has good vision abilities too. I'm the opposite really and not so good at picturing the final outcome.....with me it would be a hit and miss affair or....cross your fingers and go for it!!:heehee: Thankfully I have hubs!!

More than we need and I will have to find room for two more bushes this coming week!

Upsy, we only had so much money (paying cash) and most estate agents basically laughed at us and this one told us to sit down and gave us a book on "Ruins" to go through. We chose four and the next day the agent drove us to each of them and then said "You didn't choose this one and I think you will like it" and drove us here. We made an offer that night! That was in June 1997 three days before we were to return to the UK. We went and signed a Power of Attorney to the estate agent's owner, a lawyer, transferred the money on our return ... and on 16 August we held Title. Came back for a week in October to see what we had to do.

And that started our journey. Came back twice a year for two weeks and moved here on October 2001.

The second picture was taken a week ago. Scotland is about a month to six weeks behind the south of England.
