It is calm and sunny with the birds chirping.

A quiet day as T'other Half has his MRI for his back this afternoon.

One weather report says a thunderstorm and showers this afternoon but can't see that coming.

        Morning @Flumpy

Fortunately I don't need much sleep...never have. The earliest I go to bed is midnight and I'm awake by 6..

Yes thanks he seems very happy...so much so that when I nipped off to visit his bathroom I returned ( we were outside having coffee on his patio) to find he had gone off for his lunch ( leaving his coffee on the patio table) without saying goodbye and it was only 11:50...meals are served between 12-2pm!!
Hubs was just sat there in amazement apparently he just got up and said to him 'I won't be long '!! :heehee:

We then sat there for half an hour on our own!! He hadn't bothered about taking his keys or closing the patio doors ( they open out into the communal garden) , we just shut them without locking them when we left to catch the bus.
As we left I looked in through the restaurant windows and saw him tucking into his meal !!
Oblivious to the fact that we were here visiting him.
Sadly I know that if anyone asked him who his visitors were who were sitting out with him earlier that he would reply...'nobody I didn't have any visitors'. So sad ..I've lost my baby brother to this cruel disease....it's just his body left now.:cry3:

I like that. Yes, it is lovely and calming. It looks very established for being new. Sorry to hear R is in such a state and his move certainly came in time. A relief for you. Bless him. :imphrt:

Hi Upsydaisy, it’s looks lovely Upsydaisy, my dads friend lost his wife to this disease too, she got it in her 60’s and passed away in a home at 76, it is heart braking when they don’t even recognise you, but he looks like he’s well looked after and is happy and that’s the main thing :grphg:

Thanks Vicky and @Flumpy. Yes it looks lovely ..it was a builders yard when I went for the initial viewing , having an established tree helps a lot I think.

It certainly is heartbreakingly sad ,we've known for years that his memory was in decline but could we persuade him to get tested....no. It was only when we realised a few years back that he couldn't recall major incidents that I managed to get a consultation and a brain scan that he was finally diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. He's now only 63.
Our Uncle had it and we use to visit him .....fortunately..or maybe unfortunately I know how it progresses....
They may not know much themselves....that's a true blessing, the only redeeming factor to this ghastly disease but for family as helpless onlookers...well:sad::cry3:

                        Good day
It is "a mix of sun and cloud" as the guessers call it and still pretty warm 25c. They say it will go up to 100f 34c again today with lots of humidity to create a "real feel" of 44c. But a storm is predicted too and that will cool things down to the mid 20's.

I go to see one of my friends for breakfast. She is pretty much healed from the radiation burns and wants to venture out. We have our favourite greasy spoon we like for our morning dining and it is always relaxing and fun.

Then I go to our region's MP's office to pick up another new flag. I suddenly remembered that they give them out free and why not use them. Besides this one is for the party I voted against so might as well use her constituency budget for a freebie :heehee:

Have a super day all and cheers :coffee:

I had terrible burns ... in the armpit too. I have pics but obviously won't post them on here! Sadly, after a couple of years I developed Fibrosis and other unmentionable issues which I sincerely hope your friend does not encounter. My good wishes to her.

Enjoy your lunch and visit Lori.
