Morning @Flumpy sounds like you've got our weather from yesterday .It's thankfully cooler here today and likewise we are hopefully in for some rain mid afternoon.

Tut,tut, too warm for sunbathing...you be careful 20mins maximum.....with block on.
I've had the deadliest type of skin cancer, after 2 lots of surgery I live to tell the tale..Sadly my cousin didn't.

OK ,just be careful I never smoked ( no link really) and never laid out in the sun. But they had to dig deep to remove it all. Be aware it isn't just about moles, skin cancer can just develop as a patch on an ordinary area of skin too.
My surgeon said to me that in some ways sun block/ lotion was a curse to dermatologists because they give people a sense of false protection. Most people don't put enough on and definitely don't keep it topped up correctly. A bottle of block if applied properly should last just about a week!

Hopefully getting out into the garden to do the jobs that I couldn't do yesterday as it was unbearably hot in the afternoon, only 22C here today..perfect.

        Take care

Dropping by.jpeg Stopping by to say hello.

Nothing on the agenda today. T'other Half may go by the DIY as they have more trellis in and it goes quickly.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Thanks for your advice Upsydaisy, you’ve made me think twice now, think I’ll cut the lawn before it rains then have my dinner in the shaded area of the garden, I’ll take a picture of my little planters I got from the garden centre :spinning:

                  Morning to you too.

I never sit directly in the sun but in filtered sun. However, I do believe you should have 20 minutes directly on your face and hands, good for your bones, and gives you a little colour. I should have looked after my bones earlier in life, better food with calcium. I didn't and now I suffer.

It has been drizzling here for an hour so just pottering in the house. I always do my cycling first thing when I get up which is 9am. No use being up early when you are retired. I love my garden but nowadays it only needs minimal attention I watch wildlife and criminal programmes when I watch TV. I crochet for an hour or two a day and give it all to a charity for cats.

I hope you have a good day whatever you do. :imphrt:

I like the sound of retirement :), I’ll be like you, when I’m off like now, I don’t wake until 8ish, and go to bed at 10.30. I caught the sun on my shoulders when we where walking up Rivington but I always keep topping my lotion up, I don’t sunbath all day, I get bored and my bum goes numb :heehee:, enjoy your day Vicky :spinning:

Drizzly here now too , just as hubs has set up a ladder and plank of wood contraption so that he can walk across our lobby pitched roof to reach the landing window.....how convenient..phew! Now my concern will be had it made it slippery!!:yikes: This window painting malarkey is traumatizing me!!

Yes totally in agreement about the 20 minutes in the sun, that's why I suggested in my earlier post to have a maximum of 20 mins. :) :blue thumb:

It is great @Flumpy ..but right now I wish we were both back working!!
Once you pack it in there's no excuse not to do all the other things that you could avoid by saying you never had time for.;)
Swings and roundabouts, your body is ageing and although in your head you still think of yourself as being agile enough to do all these things...and stubbornness makes you attempt them (to prove a point) your body then makes you pay!!!:heehee:

                            Good day
Well, so much goes on here before my feet hit the floor in the morning. This business of being 5 hours behind certainly makes me feel like a lay about right from get go!

I have some shopping to do today. Our sales flyers usually start on a Thursday and I try to get out and get what I need (on discount) the first day and before the weekend. That leaves more room for young people to shop at the weekend.

The heat wave broke and now we're only going to get up to the 80's 26-27c which I find perfect.

Have a lovely day and cheers :coffee:
