Crumbs! What variety is that?

 

@SunnyGin that is amazing, so many flowers.

 

It's a Super Muliflora , I'll ask my source from spain. It has surprised me, no idea what is produced. He once called it a broccoli tomato, it tastes nothing like broccoli though.

I have some other Spanish multiforas but not like the SMFL, and it doesn't look determinate as it is still pushing up.

I'm of the age to remember the triffids, I'm just a little bit scared :-)

 

I've seen the film a couple of times & when I was at school we had to read the book in Reading class. I finished it a couple of times before the rest of the class caught up with me! But at the end of the book there was a short passage inviting the readers to write their own version.

All my life, up until nearly 25 years ago, that had always bugged me! So when we got our very first computer - waaayyyy back in 1994 I think - we had no internet, not even a CD drive (Let alone a DVD drive!) so I began to use the Word Processor to write my version of the Triffids! Needless to say it has never been completed!

I have copies on a Floppy Disc (Remember those?) as well as on various PCs that have gone West over the years! I also have copies on CDs & DVDs & even in the Cloud! If the world doesn't end soon I may (???) get around to finishing it as it still bugs me today!

 

All the pots have the same compost , it's quite the mix of old compost, homemade and about three types of new peat free compost! But that is the only plant out of about 18 that is going like that.

 

Has anyone any experience of ramellet tomatkes, otherwise known as Spanish hanging tomatoes. I have a few varieties growing now and wondered should they come through what I need to do on harvesting ?

I should say from a UK perspective, if I were in the Balearic I think I'd know but in the UK the temperate is a bit different.

 

@JWK to have own grown tomatoes for longer and because they are different.

 

On my checks today, I didn't notice this before....

I need to rename this as Anne Boleyn I guess....

(It seems to have lost its head / terminal bud)

 

My Brandywine Cherry trusses started pulling a Boleyn yesterday and I had to hoick them up on strings. I also gave some pre-emptive support to Jaune Flammée.

 

Just had a wander and all my plants have set a few flowers on each truss, it seems the same for the two plants in the greenhouse and all the ones growing outside.
So it's not a variety problem or conditions problem, just seems they are not pollinated.
I'm going to go round once a day giving the flower trusses a tap and see if it makes any difference.
