@longk , it has been exceptionally mild up till now this winter.
I say up till now because we still have time to get some snow and hard frost.

Went back yesterday, they seem to have done OK. The red ensete bananas also survived the winter without any protection, a bit battered - sorry forgot to take a picture of them.

Glad to hear it John, just hope the winters keep getting milder.
My red ensete wasn't keen on overwintering in the garage and is slowly coming back from the dead, I think it was a bit too small for the dry overwintering treatment.

I can't work out if my red ensete has survived or not. It has a visible roller that is a good colour but doesn't grow. I would have expected it to have pushed up by now given all the heat in the greenhouse. I dragged it out a couple of days ago and potted up as I needed the greenhouse space.

At the end of April I remembered to take my camera down to The Regents Park, mainly because I was off to see the Paulownia tomentosa trees in bloom.

                  Paulownia tomentosa..............

As they're leafless when they bloom it is easy to just walk straight past them..........

I mentioned the waterfall earlier. It is a lovely spot where sometimes Elizabeth and I meet when she finishes at uni or I just go and sit and read there if the weather is good...........

At the top of the waterfall is a small patio/seating area. This T-rex lives up there at the top............

A lovely tour, thanks Longk. :) I haven't been to Regents Park since I was a child and don't remember the water feature being there back then.

It is at the edge of the rose garden in the inner circle.
A lot of interesting planting in that area.
