@Victoria When caught they usually shed their tail as a distraction technique, did your one keep it?

Actually no, I was surprised it didn't. It was long. Cute little thing.

Rosie, our resident fox with mange has had her second dose of medication. She is making remarkable improvement. I read that foxes treated with Ivermectin for mange have a recovery rate of 98%. It was well worth the effort and expense to ease her suffering, she is acting normally and her fur is growing back.

One of our hogs came before dark yesterday and after eating the hog food it almost emptied the water bowl.

Thanks Victoria. The rehabber told me that going forward she will only need one dose a month to keep her mite free.

Yes, there's a definite improvement in Rosie, Hydrogardener. Still looking a little gaunt but time is early yet and she must be feeling better in herself. :)

He/she must have been very thirsty Strongy. Unfortunately many people that feed wild animals tend to forget they need water too.

It has been a long time since I have seen an Opossum but it beat the fox to its treat last night.

Still very small but a few Wasp spiders are just becoming visible mainly due to the zigzag threads on the web giving them away. By mid August they should be full size with their wasp like pattern.

Our resident fox, Rosie, has discovered that the marshmallows that I put out for the raccoons are delicious. Watching her chew one on the video is hilarious. :roflol:

Wow! Rosie is looking so much better @hydrogardener thanks to your helping hand.

My dad used to give our dogs the occasional fruit gum which he found hilarious, so I can imagine the amusement watching Rosie. :)

New York State has a magazine called The Conservationist and I first reached out to them to ask for advice about her mange. They gave me a list of rehabbers which I used to get the help she needed. I have kept them up to date on her progress, and today I got a message from them that they are doing a piece on Rosie in the August edition, and will do a follow up piece on her progress in October to let readers know how she is doing. She is going to be famous! :dbgrtmb:

Sheal, one look at that face and I was hooked, I simply had to do something. This is after she ate the coon's marshmallows. Marshmallows, what marshmallows, I did not see any marshmallows!
