WHAT'S YOUR WEATHER LIKE - 2022

Hi,

I'm very surprised pete that here in the UK there isn't a law against such high temperatures.




26C for us yesterday which is exceptional but on Sunday it's forecast 31C which is truly amazing but wonderful; time Yorkshire got a bit of heat but we're heading back to normal next Wesnesday with light rain forecast; I'd better get the waders ready. Overcast with cloud so far this morning and 19C.

A nice day ahead I'm visiting my friend who owns a metal spinning business; I always find it fascinating to watch and see the many assorted spinnings being produced both with manual spinning and CNC; later in the day I'll head into the studio to play with my violins and new music recording gear; life's brilliant.

It clouded over yesterday and the wind came up so kept our temperature down..

This morning we are overcast with the sun breaking through and very windy/gusty, 26c only going to 29c and windy all day. There are coast event warnings out and our high heat warning has been extended through Thursday now.

There are terrible fires and deaths further up the country.

The sun broke through but it is quite overcast. We have arrived at the 29c and it is exceptionally windy/gusty. A day to be in but the neighbour is picking carobs from the tree opposite our lounge window attacking the beans with a very long hooked stick.

According to the IPMA (Portuguese Institute for the Sea and the Atmosphere) statement, "it is expected that the highest values of air temperature may occur on the 13th or 14th in some places, especially in Alentejo where values of the order of 46°C can be recorded, in the valley of the Tagus, with 45°C, and in the northeast of Trás-os-Montes, with values between 40 and 44°C".

Fortunately Algarve is excluded from this.

 

30C now but we have a lot of cloud cover and a slight breeze which has taken away some of the intensity from the heat. Quite pleasant as we enjoy our dinner outside.

Just had 15 and a half spots of rain.
And they all landed on me.

 

It is now sunny with some clouds gathering and 78f 24c? or something like that. The guessers all have different opinions as to whether the clouds are going to drop anything or not.

 

Does anyone know when the school holidays start.
Just want to know when summer will be over.
